Monk Shintao PRE

In Update 7, this enhancement line is supposed to be changing, and getting it's third tier, right? Anyone have any info on how it might be changing, or did anyone at PAX get to see it?

tier 3 gets some dr, like silver/cold iron or whatever is lacking. so basically you will be able to beat boss dr using any handwraps in the game in conjunction with holy burst tod ring. would be nice if shintao actually did dps.......... but that is a different argument

Why do you need a ToD ring if they are given silver at Tier III like they were given byshk and cold iron earlier? Stick on some handwraps of holy/pg and get to work?

Did Eladrin ever even confirm Shintao III getting silver damage? Everyone just kinda assumed that, but I don't think he ever really said one way or the other.

Shintao Monk III will be in Update 7, and the last line of the enhancement is "Your Protection from Tainted Creatures bonuses increase to +6, and your unarmed attacks now bypass Silver damage reduction."

You missed it, there's a photo of a screen listing Shintao III, Bard stuff tier II, and Archmage to tier II.

Archmage will go to Tier V.

Would you mind saying what will happen with Kyosho's band? Will its set bonus change other than adding something for Shintao III? I'm dreading that "my precious" will get the Pale Master treatment...

because if you have a tod ring you can use a +5 anarchic burst handwraps of greater evil outsider bane for maximum dps.

I don't believe Shintao III was every confirmed for U7. They said they would be reworking Shintao but I don't remember them promising the third tier yet. My apologies if I just missed it.

+5 is ml 8. (+8)
anarchic burst is.. what... +4 again?
and handwraps so +2.

ML 18 handwraps. I don't see those very often. Nice set if you do have it though.

lol you have the nerve to facepalm me? the only time you need silver/good dr is on the devil bosses, you asked bout them specifically so i answered you without being a total arse (which i should have been apparently) and if you have a holy burst tod ring (min lvl 18) you have no prob using a min lvl 18 handwrap. the nerve of some people...

Fixed. The +2 min lvl for being Handwraps makes no sense but happens all the time.. An example is +5 Handwraps ML 10 or +1 Stunning 10 handwraps, ML 12.

So, the most common way you'd see the quoted combination is Race Restricted as a reward from Tower of Despair.

Yeah, kind of ironic that the ToD combo of choice for all DPS melees is the shintao monk set.
