If you're going Dark Monk, go to at least level 9 for Touch of Death. I know you'll lose out on a t2 Rogue PrE, but it's probably worth it

hmm thats not a bad idea... forgot to add this is mainly using shortswords as a weapon as the ninja spy prestige adds them as a ki weapon. gunga elaborate where the advantages are in 6 fighter? as im using umd on the rogue levels.

    6 Fighter Levels:

    4 ADDITIONAL Feats
ADDITIONAL +2 to hit, +3 Damage
    Haste Boost II
    Fighter Str II

    2 Rogue Levels:

    FULL UMD
A few extra skill points for roguiness.
+6.5 Backstab (which you wont see very often when you're soloing).

    Monk12/Rogue7/Fighter1.
Monk 12 is a nice split. Gives you that super jump for example. You can also go rank 2 Ninja. With Rogue7 it should be easy to max all rogueish skills. And you get a nice SA bonus. Fighter 1 is for extra feat.

But don't forget, that at one point, your main source of self-healing will be UMD.

And my advice was going to be going 13 rogue to get 2 of the special feats, most likely Improved Evasion and Crippling Strike.

//Edit: Also on skills, Monks use Concentration, so I'd send a few more skill points that way.

If you plan to fight unarmed, you want at least monk 9 for ToD and monk 12 is probably best for 3rd-tier stances and the bump to base dmg. If you plan to fight w/short swords, I think monk 7 / rogue 13 is a better combo; monk 8 is pretty blah and rogue 13 gets you an extra D6 SA and rogue bonus feat.

I would definitely bump CON to at least 14; maybe drop INT to 12.

I don't see Power Attack or Improved Crit; you want both, IMHO. Drop Diehard and...hrm, I'm not sure what you can drop to make room for it, actually.

Skills are all right, but as stated you should definitely bump up Concentration.

8 monk with a dark path is kind of silly IMO. If you want to use the shortswords go 6 or 7 monk. I've a got a friend working on a 13/7 rogue/monk, with elf for the Displacement dragonmark.

    1) Dragon Marks aren't worth it if you can max your UMD score. With rogue levels you can get your UMD score to a value high enough not to fail your UMD check for heal scrolls at higher levels/with some gear.

    2) You go the weapon finesse route and start with 14 strength (on a halfling). If you go weapon finesse on a halfling start with 12 str and put the other 4 points elsewhere. That one point less damage you deal won't make a big difference. Even better would be going strength based imo.

    3) You have some feats that I wouldn't choose:
    - dodge (+1 AC barely makes a difference unless you got some really high AC on your build)
    - diehard (complete waste of a feat to select)

Dragonmarks are a waste of feat slots. You can UMD heal scrolls or wands, or use potions to heal yourself.

Mixing Rogue with Fighter or Monk is typically not a good idea unless you are doing a very specialized build. For generic DPS, pure Rogue would be better in end-game content. By going 20 Rogue instead of 13, you will have 7d6 more sneak attack damage. In addition, assassinate DC could be at a more useful level. If you only take 13 levels of Rogue, your assassinate DC will be 6 DC - or a 30% chance - lower.
