Default Radiant servant Clonk w/kensai I

I want to try something new, to me anyway. I'm pretty new and have never done a Cleric and only did a Wizard to level 4. So is this a reasonable build? I won't have any twinkage, nor can I pass plat to this toon. With +6 items, will this work?

seems reminscent of Stryde (cant be bothered to find the link though) which is a powerful build when played well & properly geared - however with a build like this you will probably often be declined from groups by people who dont understand it or dont already know you.

A couple of things i'd say though: bring your dex down a couple of points & put the points in Con or Str - a +1 tome isnt too hard to get hold of and that'll be enough to get you i2wf. I'd also change a few feats around & ditch dodge, 2wf defence & cleave in favour of extend spell & the 1st 2 tiers of elven dragonmarks then ditch the elf dex enhancements in favour of more dragonmark uses, but then i love being able to self-buff an extended displacement to boost my melee survivability Extend spell will also naturally make Divine Power & Divine Favour last longer for you, both of which will boost your melee power.

    Good luck with it though!

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

Thanks fuzzy, I knew it'd be gear intensive. I'll search Stryde and see what I find.

His build is is tried and tested in hard/elite shavarath. It does, however, take a lot of skill and gear to run something like this. You will be declined a lot, so get used to soloing or starting your own groups.

Unfortunately, the feats you suggest I swap are monk or fighter bonus feats, so pretty limited in my choices. But the displace would be nice.

good point - though i suppose once you're at high level (or capped) you could use an LR to ensure you get the combat ones as bonus feats where possible & the others as regular feats to optimise the build

    My thoughts:

    • Base DEX is too high; drop it to 16, take +1 DEX tome for ITWF & GTWF. Bump CON to 14.
    • You went WIS-based, but IMHO this sort of build should be STR-based. You're a warrior who can act as a backup healer / buffer, not a primary caster. Your offensive spells will be too weak to do much good, with only 12 cleric levels and no DC-boosting metamagic feats. Base WIS 14 + 2 enhs is good enough, IMHO.
    • I'm not convinced WSS is worth the feat cost and lower DPS on a monk 2 splash just to use 1st tier stances. I prefer to save it for builds which go for at least monk 3 (FoL for more free heals), preferably monk 6+ so you can use 2nd tier stances.
    • Dodge, TWD, and Cleave are generally considered weak feats. I would consider another metamagic or two, like Extend. If you're trying to go for a high-AC build, you may want to consider bumping base INT to 11 or 12 so you can take a +1/2 INT tome to get Combat Expertise.
    • If you start monk instead of fighter, you'll gain 8 extra skill pts; and if you take cleric at lvl 2 or 3, you can take a metamagic at 3. You'll have to change your feat order slightly, though, but nothing too radical.
