My personal belief is that whomever designed them had their (girl/boy)friend stolen by a monk and this is their attempt at revenge.

There is rarely a class out there which got THAT many buffs. Right now Monks are among the Top of the DPS classes AND have excellent saves AND have a Wing like Jump AND have immunities etc pp.

No Sir, Monk Hatred is for sure not the reason.
