Question What is slashing vs. piercing weapons again?

I have an elf paladin about to level up. She uses mostly long swords, also scimitar and great sword. If I want to get the Improved critical, is it slashing for the above weapons or piercing? Thanks.

Hover your mouse over the weapon in your inventory screen and it'll tell you what type of damage it deals.

Specifically, where it says 'Damage:' on the weapon, look to the right of it to get information such as:

(Damage Range) Dice Rolls, Added Damage to Dice Rolls, and Damage Type - in that order.

The Damage Type is where it will tell you if the Damage done is Pierce, Bludgeon, or Slash.

Improved critical slashing for your weapons. Edged weapons swords and axes =slash, pointed weapons picks short swords and rapiers (light maces?) = piercing. Good luck with your character.

Thank you for your advice. Just wanted to make sure my THF and ITHF elf paladin is getting the right "improved critical". I thought long swords, scimitars, and great sword would be "slashing" and I checked: they are.

You do realise that you do get racial enhancements to either longswords/rapier aranel or something and scimitars/falchions velaner or something cant spell it.

light maces are blunt weapons.(do morning stars do both piercing and bludgeoning in game like in p&p?) edged weapons slash ie cut, piercing weapons you often stab with you use the point to thrust with, or swing if its something like a pick.

Thanks, typographical error and mind slip.... they are slashing weapons indeed.
