    Default weapons for epic Von?

    Even though I am capped for a while and doing raids, I haven't done much VON. That said, I am ready to start doing epic and want to run VON. Some questions:

    - the iron golem at the end of part 5, I know elemental damage is a no-no, so, other than GCB, what else do I want on a weapon for him?

    - the pillars on part 5, other than GCB, what kind of other attributes do I want on those weapons?

    - other than greater dragon bane for the dragon, any other recommended weapons for epic 5/6? What about the rest of the chain?

    People very seldom run Epic VON5 - it's really long and tough, but the rewards are garbage. Adamantine Greater Construct Banes, preferably with a high minimum level (so they have higher hardness and durability) are good for the endboss there though.

    For part 6 - the hardest part is the Djinni (which only appear on Epic) - I think Greater Chaotic Outsider Bane is the way to go there, but Greensteel is fine. (That fight is about crowd control, not DPS). For Velah, the fight is more about staying out of fire than DPS - but you'll get her down faster with Risia-enchanted Axiomatic or Holy (burst) of Greater Dragon Bane weapons. If they aren't available, don't worry - Greensteel is fine too.

    Rest of the chain - Greensteel for 1-2, Anarchic of (anything) for 3 (Anarchic Greater Construct Bane is optimal, but anything that bypasses DR is OK), and adamantine greater constrcut banes for 4.

    The djinn, they are chaotic what?

    It seems the 'malice' mace from Twilight forge may be good for parts of this chain. I have a pair laying around somewhere.

    Lastly, I was about to craft a set of earthgrab picks, would these be useful on this chain? (although I was considering running with the earthgrab pick and a radiance rapier I have, once they change on u7 so mobs don't move around when blinded, perhaps radiance will become welcome in epic)

    The bosses all have new mobs with them.

    VON1 - Deadheart also has 3 or 4 Winter Wolves - like the ones in Cabal for One, they trip, breathe cold, die in Firewalls and are easy.

    VON2 - Orphne's Shadow brings along all of the rest of the Laughning Knives gang. Most groups kite them in a Firewall or Bladebarrier as once the Shadow is down, the gang despawn.

    VON3 - Remember the Earth Elementals that used to be in the Marut fight? They are now Epic-only. The Marut fight is also more melee-centred than it is on Normal through Elite (its increased HP make nuking it with fire spells less viable).

    VON4 - Master Control has two Lightning-Guard Iron Golems with it.

    VON5 - The Arach's Knight fight goes long enough that the other dogs become relevant.

    As for Earthgrab picks - they are awesome everywhere, IMO.

    VON4 - Master Control has two Lightning-Guard Iron Golems with it.
    Those lightning golems are in the wheel room before master control, not inside with him. They are not required to beat the quest (thank goodness).
    Kobold sentient jewel still hate you.
