Default are most lvl10+ quests done within guilds?

I've been getting on and seeing maybe 1 or 2 LFM for my level range since hitting 11. I looked at grps not available to me and content i dont own and still only maybe 2-4 LFM at most for my level range.

There were never tons lower I guess but I could usually find em. Now it seems the 1 or 2 available are lookin for healer only =/. Does most of the lvl 11+ questing get done within guilds and set groups? Or is the population of this server that low?

    +1 rep for that one.
Seriously, though, if you have a quest you want to run and no one is running it...put up an LFM. Not that hard. Sometimes you can end up with a good group that way. You can't just follow what everyone else is doing. Take a little initiative.

A lot of stuff is done by guilds/friends/channels/tells.

This is the adverse effect of dungeon scaling. Many would rather go short with a group of knowns than invite unknows.

That said, mud is right on the money. Chances are if you cant find a group at your level, others are in the same boat. But remember if you need a healer to babysit you, youre going to be one of "X" lfms looking for "healer only"

If you can put an lfm up, get one or two people and start a quest, your group will prolly fill faster and with better players.

I've tried that a few times. Most of the time I sit there by myself for 10+ minutes with no requests to join. Guess I smell bad. Or this server is just half dead most of the time.

I usually dismiss the LFM because even if I do get someone to join then we'll both be sitting doin nothin.

    When's your playing time at?

Even if you only get 1 more person, that's still 2 hirelings for you all.

worse case, start it with a hireling. If you're just sitting there waiting for it to fill with the perfect party, people will skip it. If you're not inprogress, it's a long or harder mission, I might not hit your lfm, especially on my TR.

What content do you own exactly? Not a lot of f2p stuff past level 10. Most of the popular stuff include sands, GH, and vale.

Past the low levels, there are less new f2p players. Players at higher levels tend to also be p2p/VIP and in guilds. They tend not to need to rely on parties as much to get quests completed, preferring to shortman rather than to wait. Also depends on your server, your playtime, maybe even your gear. If someone sees that you're a 150 hp with no heavy fort they may decide not to join your group. Might be your guild tag, or even a personal rep that is scaring people away. Hard to tell exactly without knowing more about your character. My guess would be that you don't own some of the more popular packs at this level range and hence do not see a lot of groups.

I bought a bunch of packs over labor day. Sands, GH, vale, shavrath, reavers reach, sorrowdusk (mostly for the favor, I wana unlock fvs some day).

One of the times I was LFM for a while I had crucible up for the quest for GH. I am not guilded. I am going to try and start building a friend list so I can just start sending more tells about grps.

Mostly I was basing this post on the fact that when I look even at quests I dont have and dont qualify for there just might be 1-4 LFM up after level 10. It seems like a low number for a whole server.

EDIT: usually a little early in prime time is when I see this problem

Well crucible is notoriously bad to pug unless someone in there knows the maze well, knows the agility test, and can make the swim. Otherwise it can easily become a 2 hour quest with multiple reentries.

Why don't you want to join a guild by the way?

There's a sort of a gap in the lfm list, real or imagined, which isn't always noticeable.
Earlier this year it was a lack of lv 11-12 groups and recently some people posted it is now lv 13-14.
Maybe once more of bulk of players move up there will be more groups pugging and said gap will close.

Why don't you want to join a guild by the way?
I never said I didnt. I'm not running around asking to join guilds, I figured I'd see who is actually active around my level. I read some recruitment posts and tried to contact a guild or two, but so far no reply (I dont think they're really that active in my lvl despite the posts claiming tons of lvl 1-20).

Getting into a good guild fit can be tricky. It can be a 6 man guild if you are all on at the same time doing the same stuff. And you can be in a 30 man guild and be the only person online whenever you're on... just a matter of timing and point in the game. I'm looking more at end game guilds since I'm not going to be this level forever =P. But it doesn't seem like I end up in groups with the same people through LFM very often.
