    Default TR Bard

I have a pelledin I want to TR into a bard, as stated here: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=272632

I have been trying to put together a build, and would really appreciate comments and tips

First I tried to put together a TWF bard, but I want to stay pure, and I could simply not fit all the feats I wanted and needed for a warchanter.

Keywords for the bard I want are:
    Pure,
    Melee Warchanter,
    Buffs,
    Backup healer.

This is what I have come up with so far:

Hmm, looking at it the high DEX required for TWF feats is still in. Probably a good idea to move some of those points to CON instead for a THF build

The enhancements can probably be tweaked quite a bit

-Drop Falchion and go with Master's Touch in order to wield it.
-Drop FOP (maybe have it in the early levels then drop it).
-Generally speaking, using maximise is better than Emp healing because it gives you a bigger bang when you need it, again this could be a swap out feat once you have more sp.
-I'm not sure going beyond a 1 for 1 purchase on charisma is worth it on a WC build, even if you are healing - those extra four build points are probably worth more than a few sp and +1 UMD.
-I would definitely put points into balance.
-I would consider Haggle, unless you already have a haggle character.

Or, an alternative to make TWF work:
    3 TWF feats
    PA and Weapon Focus
    Toughness
    Maximise or Empower Healing

    Plus:
    Either Extend or Improve Crit.

You could forgo extend and manage 2min hastes and displaces, which aren't too shabby (although I understand not wanting to do this).

Or you could forgo Improve Crit and craft min2s.

stats look good can consider some less charisma and putting 2 points into con to hit 16 con base wich helps a lot later on. 2 charisma wont raise your sp pool that much at level 20 but 20 hp is always welcome. Your also not using the charisma to cast spells if its only the sp you want you can make up with gs / archmage belt/bracers later on with some decent items.

also the feats are put in the wrong place, you will have to level to 18 before you can take the warchanter prestige enh. Put the feats in a way you can take the warchanter prestige at level 6 and not at 18. The ironskin is great for lower lvls.

As far as enh goes consider dropping song 3 and 4 and maybe charisma III and lingering song 4 and you will win 17 points wich you can put in better heals bard song magic I II III and IV wich will cost you 10 points and gives you 40% more healing and maybe lyrics of song rank I and II wich will cost you 3 more points but makes those heals crit at 6% and maybe the first lyric of inc song wich will inc the multiplier by 0.25 for 1 point making the total cost for the healing 13 ap at the cost of 20% less longer songs 2 less songs and 1 charisma less. It's just a waste to invest a feat into healing and not taking any healing magic enh to make it lots better.

I got a pure warchanter who can heal himself with emp healing for 430 damage when he crits and he wears the gianthold gloves and got II ranks of lyric wich give him 6% crit + gloves = 15% crit for a 400+ heal by just stacking some healing amp and the human imp recovery and i dont have the levik bracers or the 20% healing amp on my dt yet with the 20% healing amp you ll be looking at 500 crits maybe wich is justs awesome if you can heal yourself to full with 1 crit heal at the cost of 35 sp. It will increase your survivability dramaticly.

most people think if they choose the warchanter path that they have to give up on any healing done at all. Wich just isn't true a pure bard warchanter with the right feat(s) and the right action points can be a pretty decent offhealer it won't be cleric like but it will help the group in critical moments, take for instance some offhealing in hox with scrolls and normal heals to take some load of the clerics.

thats just my 2 cents tho.

Some very good points both of you, thanks for that.

The feat progression as it is is not good at all, it just shows what I want at lvl 20, and doesnt really consider the best progression as I level up at all
