Default 2nd tr build idea: Therapist tempest 2, assassin 1, barb 1

To make this a regular 32 point build drop 2 points from str and add 2 points to int, also he is probably better off as a halfling or human but I have lots of dwarfy gear so I'm sticking with dwarf

if you go halfling or WF there is a flexible feat in there where I took a past life active feat where you can take kopesh

the basic idea is that the ranger capstone is useless for melee and tempest 3 (or really ranger past 12) doesn't really bring much to the table in terms of melee damage

so I thought assassin 1/tempest 2 would be a great combo. And since rogue 8 or ranger 13 don't add anything themselves I threw in barb for an extra point of power attack damage, 10hp 1pt enhancement and the wonderful 10% run speed

    thoughts, flames, etc

i would prefer a lever of fighter instead of barbarian. the bonus feat seems more valuable than 1 point of PA and 10% speed.

Why so much base DEX? This isn't an AC- or ranged-focused build, is it? I would stick with DEX 14 and put the extra pts into CON.

Default comparing options for fighter 1, barb 1, or ranger 13

This is true, lets compare the three options for the last level, Ranger 13, Barb 1, Fighter 1

    Ranger 13:

favored enemy damage 4, 1 extra damage vs giants, undead, evil outsiders
    d8 hit die

    Fighter 1

    d10 hit die (2 hp > ranger)
    +2 fort save
    feat, probably taking stunning blow
fighter toughness 1 (10 hp, 1 action point)
fighter trip 1 (+1 dc trip, 1 action point)
fighter stunning blow 1 (+1 dc stunning blow, 1 action point)
(at that point if I have the stunning blow feat I'm probably going down the dwarven tactics line to 2)

    Barbarian 1

    d12 hit die (4 hp > ranger)
    +2 fort save
barbarian power attack (+1 power attack damage -1 hit, 1 action point)
    10% stacking run speed
barbarian toughness 1 (10 hp, 1 action point)
    ? rage charges

Hah you are right, forgot I don't need 17 base dex for greater two weapon fighting!

    Good catch.

Looks like I'm going 14 dex, 18 con and 14 int (I think)
