Can't buy adventure packs.

I was going to take up on the 25% off on adventure pack and buy them all, but when I hit the store the buy button was greyed out and there was red text telling me that "This item cannot be purchased".

I am currently VIP and I suspect that is the problem. But that would mean that I cannot buy adventure packs until my VIP sub runs out, and by then the offer will be long gone.


Is there a way around this or am I screwed?

You might be able to cancel your VIP account effective immediately if you contact customer support, but not sure that will work, never tried it. Of course if you have much time left on your Sub, I believe you will be forfeiting that balance.

Correct you are screwed until your VIP runs out. Only then can you start to purchase content you don't own (and since your still a VIP, you already own/lease it).

As for calling to immediately terminate, its worth a shot but I have no idea if that would work.

I went F2Premium 3 months back from 4 years as a VIP and I don't regret it one bit. I have bought 3 $9/6900 deals in this time and have been able to buy everything I had/wanted with more to spare for future releases. The ONLY thing I miss about VIP is the ability to open first time dungeons on hard but that's it.

I think it was Patience who said you can take advantage by immediately canceling your VIP membership, but that surrenders the time you have left on it.

I have the same problem and the worst part about it is that I renewed VIP the night before the sale was announced. I'm sitting on 7k+ points and can't do anything with them...even after canceling my account.

This has been a long asked for feature, but as you've 'brought' them with VIP you cannot buy them again.

It would be too much confusion to those VIP's that didn't know to have them purchasable.

I think this is another reason why Premium [for 12+ month of play] is better than VIP.

If you cancel your VIP, you will be able to buy the packs almost immediately, even though your VIP might not expire for up to 30 days.

Last time they had a 25% off all packs sale I cancelled my sub and was able to buy all the adventure packs the day after, even though my VIP expired over 2 weeks later.
