    Question 18FvS/2Monk(first build) need qritque

Hey this is my first time building a build(lol)
I would like to know how good it is, I don't have the time to actually level half the builds I do have.
But if someone would tell me if this will work or if it needs more work
and the spells give me some info on the spells, I don't feel that I chose the right ones
it's supposta be a pretty level toon, good at melee, ok at spell DPS and good at healing
    Thanks for the help

There are already lots of 18/2 FvS/Monk builds around. Most of them focus on TWF, there's a reason for that.

    As to your specific build:
Why do you take the monk levels at 7/8? Monks get more skill points, so the first level should be taken in monk. Also, the best spells of a divine are BB and heal. You might want to wait with the second monk level until you get those spells (or at least one of them)

Why aren't you taking any metamagic feats except extend and empower? Your healing will suffer without quicken (mass heal, bb) and your blade barriers will suck without maximize (even though empower helps).

I like the idea of combining Drow with Whirling Steel Strike, but for me that combination takes too many feats to be viable, as it really hurts your TWF and casting abilities.

Whirling steel strike on a feat starved class is impossibile to have.

    Bonus from drow = 0 .
Elf 32 points + scimitars is the way.

This is the build I'm using, 34 points because I'm TRx1. If you have 32 points go with 15 STR

I guess you could fit the whirling steel strike on a Human build. But then you'd have to drop some feats and move the order around a bit. Also, you'd lose out on the elf enhancements with +2 to-hit and damage.
All of that just to stay centered ... not worth it imo

for WSS you need proficiency in longsword (on a FvS you can obtain by chosing the sovereign host faith) and WF:longsword. 3xTWF. Toughness. Power Attack. Quicken. Maximize. Extend. IC: Slash (no you can't go with 2xminII because 2xLitII are way more useful so you need IC). A total of 11 feat. Human fvs18/monk2 get 10 feat. So you must drop extend (and have lesser efficient BB). All of this for what? Longsword have worst critical thrat and critical multiplier. Fire stance to get +2 STR (so +1 to hit and +1 damage) but going elf with scimitars you gain +2 to hit and +2 damage from racial enhancments.
No, fvs/monk with longsword is not worth.

Drow would probably use shortswords (better twf-tohit but piercing and less crit range than scimitars) and automatically gives '32pt' to a stat-starved build so maybe it should not be dismissed so quickly?

The bonuses to dex, int, cha are all useful.... how about something like this:
    Str 14
Dex 15 (13+2) to get twf feats with +2 tome
    Con 12 (14-2)
    Int 10 (8+2)
    Wis 16
    Cha 11 (9+2)
... maybe move a point from con to cha, i dunno. All increases in wisdom.

I would drop the idea of staying centred for Monk stances while using Longswords. Your posted build only has the TWF feat, so your offhand attacks are only at 40% efficiency when the could be at 80% instead.

You need to many feat to make Longswords work properly.

If you want to use Drow (not a bad choice if you don't have 32pt character builds available), then I would seriously suggest you stick to using Shortswords (Drow Racial and FvS bonuses To Hit and Damage) and look to gain just the Evasion and Wis bonus to AC from your Monk levels. You could always pile on a Potency/SpellPen/Lore/Magi Quarterstaff and then drop into Water stance for offensive casting.

A TWF shortsword wielding drow FvS should be viable. You lose a bit of dps compared to an elf build with scimitars due to decreased number of crits though.

Anyways, you should really think hard about whirling steel strike. You lose a lot when you go that way.

Pretty much what everyone else has already said.
Whirling Steel strike is too hard to make work on a FVS. The gains from being centered are too low. Just switch to wraps if you really need that extra wis/dc. I'd give it up.

You also need to take quicken. Its basically a must have if you plan on using your 2 best spells (mass heal, bladebarrier)

Also, either commit to 15 dex base for the GTWF/ITWF line, or don't bother with the monk levels. Generally the /2 monk splashes are there for those 2 extra feats so that you can fit those both in.

I'd also think about going elf or human if you want to use longswords/unyielding faith. The extra feat or +2dmg/atk are very nice. This is of course, assuming you have 32pt builds.

Alright, Thanks for the help I'll use the info you guys gave me for later use, right now imma stick with a pure FvS and TR a few times
I usually splash monk for the boost to saves and AC but then again, I rarely ever splash monk on anything other than Cleric and FvS.
Thanks again, I'll put the info to good use

And as for Extend and Empower being the only Metas, I simply forgot about Maximize and Quick :/
