So how about it? Epic does not count as a new raid. Would really appreciate an answer. Thanks!

They only care for noobs. Seeing as how noobs cant beat the raids we got, no new raid anytime soon. Hope this is isnt number 10.
Oh and max reps to the OP Lysol.

i'm more of a raid-oriented player myself, and although I do like epics, getting new epic quests is like opening a christmas gift and getting a gift card; sure you appreciate the gift, it just doesn't feel like a whole lot of effort was put into it as could have been.
I vote for a new raid.

I for one would like to participate in a raid that involves attacking a small town, slaughtering the defenders, then plundering the place for all it's worth. That's a raid means to me. Then again, I'm going by the 11th century Viking definition.
On the other hand, I would also like to see a full scale attack on a tyrant's castle with siege weapons and everything. Mission objectives would be as follows:
Meet up up with your allies, who are a tyrannosaur riding clan of halfling barbarians (they DO exist somewhere in Eberron)
4 tanks pick up an enchanted battering ram, and beat on the gates with it while the other party members protect them from a light guard force. All the while, the area is pelted with boulders from trebuchets which can be seen in the background.
After 5 minutes of pounding, the gates are reduced to a pulp. Everyone rushes in, and a massive battle ensues in the courtyard with the blackguard defenders.
After the blackguards are defeated (tyrannosaur cavalry, FTW!), the castle is scoured from top to bottom, stumbling upon many optional objectives (freeing prisoners of war, liberating the people) that can only be achieved by slaughtering the guard beasts (giant snakes and velociraptors) he keeps in the dungeons.
Finally, the party breaches the throne room of the tyrant himself. The battle to slay him and his elite blackguards is difficult, but the rewards in his treasure room are great. Maybe we can get some velocirator boots that make you faster....and then you can come back on epic to upgrade velociraptor boots that make you crazy fast and have a chance of any blows made be slicing blows.
Just my 2 cents.

there's one thing you never put in a trap if you're smart. If you value your continued existence. If you have any plans on seeing tomorrow then there's one thing you never, ever put in a trap.
I’m with you – This is just my opinion but I haven’t been happy with the new quest releases for a long time now. The last quest pack that I was happy with was the Amarath.
They just don’t seem to listen to what we want out of game, we need a new raid and more high level content (no I don’t count epic as high level content that’s end game content).
Instead we get low level content that also could be run on epic.
Maybe I’m being a bit nostalgic but I remember the excitement I felt when quest packs like Von, Gianthold, Orchard and Vale were released.
I find it very hard to be excited about any of the new content we have gotten lately.
I’m grateful that we don’t have to wait long between releases anymore. But I also miss the imo effort and quality you put into the old quest packs back in the day,
when we “if we were lucky” only got 1-2 modules a year.
I don’t want to sound too pessimistic, a lot of good things have been done by Turbine lately but this is one of the things Im missing a bit.
I've done every raid in the game, most of them literally hundreds of times. I'm getting bored. I'd love a new challenge.

I say 'velociraptor boots' because the only boots that can be upgraded to epic and benefit my build are the Golden Greeves.....20% speed boost is just not enough at epic level. I'd trade the disease immunity away if it meant a full 30% or more boost.
It'll be a low level raid, mark my words.

How about "Velah's Revenge"? A revenge hit on the City of Stormreach. Dragon(S) plural...hydras....all set in a vacant Stormreach. Dragons, hydras, and other reptilian beasties stalking the town while the party takes up sniper positions, fortifies alleys, jumps off buildings onto the backs of the dragon raiders, eliminating multiple bosses in the houses of Stormreach.... naw...that would be fun. Never happen!

I heard a rumor that we will be getting a new raid tomorrow.
It will be based on the rich and colorful lore from Styx's Kilroy Was Here--the end fight is against a CR60 Mr. Roboto.
Maybe it was a dream rather than a rumor.
Either way, I'm listening to "Don't Let It End" in steady rotation to prepare.
