    Default Fighting AA Barb

This is a new build I thought up reciently. Kind of a Fighting AA Barby. The build is a "very" tight fit but does seem to work... I think...

1 Sorc and Sorc Dragon Blood gets me 230 spell points which is more than enough for Arcane Archer.

6 fighter crams in the needed feats and also gets me Kensai (long bow) + Fighter haste boost II + Crit accuracy II + Strength II.

The 13 Barb. gets me Damage boost III + Sprint boost I + Crit rage I + Power Rage II + (Frenzied Beserker II My ultimate goal at the end gets at level 19)+ Barb Extend Rage IV + Barb Extra rage III + Constitution I + Faster Movement + Item defense 33%.

Elven gets me all the Arcane archer enhancements + Elven Ranged Damage II + Dex 1

So with multi shot + improved precise shot + Barb Damage boost 3 + Fighter Hast II + Fighter attack II

And again it just barely fits. So what do y'all think.

Well, I'm not sure if a sorc splash is the best way to meet the magic req; and I'm not sure ftr 6 / barb 13 is better than just ftr 18. But why don't you start DEX 17 CON 14 and take a +2 DEX tome to get Imp Prec Shot? That way you can put all your lvl-ups into STR.

Can't get crit rage anymore, 12 barb is worse than 12 fighter.

I see you took all the Enh to get kensaiI but you don't seem to have taken kensaiI. kensai I with weapon spec needs an extra 5 AP that you need to fit in.

that and mind if I ask why you have 13 int? just seems like wasted build points to me.

Wow I didn't know they ended crit. rage on barb. If thats true thats a huge bummer to this build. In that case the char build engine is out of date and my build ate up a bit. Fighter may be a bit better in that respect.

Also yes I noticed for some reason kensai wasn't in there so I fixed it. Musta been too tired that night. I did consider if I had too much intelligence. Int was 14 by the way. So yes I could have dumped that else where but it was efficient to put it in int at that time at a cost of only 1 point per stat raise so if you like dump int else where.

Here is the fixed build. It should have kensai, barb bezerker, AA, Crit rage - (since I wanted that in the build originally but it sounds like they may have taken that out).

If you'd go wizzy instead of sorcerer you could use your extra feat for mental toughness to fulfill the requirement for aa.

Actually I would go wizard and take the elven arcanum enhancement ( I think that is what it is) that will get you your AA requirements.

You can then use the free Feat for say extended spells. That way you will get a couple minutes out of expedious retreat / shield / etc.

You only get 1st level spells so you might as well make them as useful as possible. You aren't saving any SP really but you are least casting it less often. If you cast it before a fight they should last long enough for the whole fight most of the time.

Hi, what about do elf 12fighter/7barbar/1wiz with past life barbar? Rage+power surge+ manyshot + haste boost...

with items, the dex may hit 30ish. while it seems like a good number, i'm afraid in higher difficulty settings, you may have problems hitting stuff

    Constitution 13 13 14
    this is too low

    Intelligence 14 14 14
i do not know why your int is so high, yes 1 point per increase seems to be worth it but consider that int is not required in this build, it just seems a little pointless. i'd instead use the points to increase con or dex

    Feat: (Selected) Power Attack
if you are going for AA, you might want to start getting feats from L1 to qualify you for AA. taking PA later on is not going to hurt your build

    Enhancement: Barbarian Damage Boost I
    Enhancement: Barbarian Damage Boost II
    Enhancement: Barbarian Damage Boost III[
you can lose these as you spend too much time waste to boost up. manyshot is only 20s. each boost u use takes abt 1.5s to activate (quickdraw can significantly reduce boost time) and thus you are losing a lot of dps for a meagre increase in damage

    Enhancement: Barbarian Critical Rage I
this is no longer in use

    Enhancement: Barbarian Power Attack I
    Enhancement: Barbarian Power Attack II
power attack doesnt affect ranged weapons but if you are taking this to have a melee option, you are thinking the correct way

    Enhancement: Elven Ranged Damage I
you want to max this out plus get elven ranged attack

    Enhancement: Barbarian Item Defense I
    this is not needed

    Enhancement: Elven Arcane Archer I
you want to go to AA3 for the slayer arrows. it is a very serious loss of dps without slayer arrows

overall, while you have a good concept, the performance of this build will break down once it hits the upper end. you are going to have problems hitting stuff and will not be able to produce both good melee or ranged dps. you might want to revisit the drawing board and see how you can synergise the build more
If you want to know why...

    Welcome Back Aranticus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And what he says is pretty much 100% spot on.

IMHO its not worth even going AA unless you get Slaying Arrows.

    Also CON/HP is your friend.

The barbarian/rage levels will help with HP.

BTW I am not 100% sure, but can you Imbue while raged?

    Just something to consider.

I'll test it with my Madstone's tonight. Not that big of a deal because the Imbue doesn't expire.

IIUC, Crit Rage is still in the game (which is why it's also still in the builder), but it can no longer be taken; it's only for existing barbs who already had the enhs before whenever Turbine decided to take it out. Which I guess means if you have Crit Rage on your barb currently but reset your enhs - POOF! - it's gone for good. Although that doesn't make much sense to me; if Turbine felt Crit Rage was too powerful and had to be nerfed, shouldn't they have removed it from everyone to be fair?

If you have an arcane splash (wiz, sorc, bard), you don't need MT at all; you can take your class SP enh instead (or elf racial SP if wiz). Although with just a splash, you might not have enough SPs for your imbues...

OP: if you insist on such high INT, why not take a bard splash instead of sorc? That way you can have max ranks of UMD, too, and be able to use Cure wands right off the bat.
