Default Help Human Greatsword Barb build

Ive hit bubble 2 of lev6

    I may reincarnate at lev7

I prefer the great-sword/two handed weapons.. I wont bother posting my build because I don't want to get laughed at by your super veteran math geniuses

Id love to hear a great build (feats-enhancements). I don't want to be one of those guys who isn't allowed into groups later on in higher levels.

I think most people would first tell you to abandon great sword as your main and go great axe. That's what my 12 barb currently uses and I wouldn't trade it for the world. In my opinion (and I think the math others better than I have done will show), you'll do far more DPS with great axe.

As for feats, I'll defer to Shade's barbarian build that I've been using that can be found here: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=199947

    Feats:
    1 - Two Handed Fighting
    3 - Power Attack
    6 - Cleave
    9 - Improved critical: Slashing
12 - Improved Two Handed Fighting
15 - Greater Two Handed Fighting
18 - Toughness or Stunning Blow - Depends on your focus. Toughness is not needed for 95% of content.. But for the endgame raids, you will want it if you are gona be the main tank. Stunning Blow is an awesome feat for clearing trash if your a good twitch skilled player, it will really speed up many quests. Altho I prefer stunning blow and find it extremely useful in the endgame, some players with prefer the hitpoints instead. Personal preference really, either wll work.

Actually, I believe the consensus is the epic Sword of Shadows is the best endgame 2H weapon available, so the OP would eventually end up going with a greatsword (if he plays that long, of course). Fortunately, barbs don't have to specialize in weapons the way, say, Kensai do; you just use whatever are the best 2H weapons you can get.

solexwolf: is this a 28- or 32-pt build? Do you want a pure DPS build or do you want some versatility? E.g., rogue splash for UMD, ftr splash for extra feat(s), etc.

ESoS is great, like you say -- for endgame.

There's a whole host of levels between Korthos and ESoS though where he's going to be better served DPS-wise by toting a big axe than a big sword.

Actually he'll be better off with a great sword unless he owns a Carnifex.
