Help!!!

I can't get the game to go in any further than the "Welcome to Eberron" screen. I wanna play, please help if you can.

Are you getting an error message, a timeout or is it just hanging?

It just hangs up and the gives me the disconnection notice... no error message.

I assume since you put it in the Sarlona forum you are trying to log into Sarlona, have you tried a different server to see if you get the same behavior?

Edit: Have you tried restarting your computer and what operating system are you running? (Linux, Windows XP, Vista, 7?)

I solved it by reloading the game. It happens every now and then and usually never needs much but a reboot to solve it. This time it wouldn't go away till I reloaded the DDO software. Thanks for all who helped.

Win7/Vista

C:\Program Files (x86)\Turbine\DDO Unlimited\
(or)
C:\Program Files\Turbine\DDO Unlimited\

Right click

dndclient.exe
dndlaucher.exe

For each exe follow these steps

Properties > Compatibility > Run as Administrator.



If this doesn't help, reset your firewall settings for and allow all access to dndclient.exe and dndlauncher.exe


If you still get this problem, then... well... I dunno. The only other thing I could suggest is disabling the UAC but even then I don't think the UAC would complicate DDo.

If you're on XP then I also don't know.. haven't used XP in years.
