inventory items flash

many times items in my inventory will flash instead of showing the item view window when i mouse over them. See this video to see what i'm talking about.

has anyone else ever seen this, know what causes it, or know if I can fix it?

Weird! I haven't seen that, but possibly somewhat related, sometimes my hover-overs just won't stay. You know, you hover over the item, the description pops up, but then it goes away again after a second. Sometimes it just won't stay up while you're hovering over the item.

Yeah I actually experience this A LOT. Sometimes moving the window around helps (perhaps its overlapping with some other unseen UI item (I keep my dice in the approx center of the screen so I can watch it and If I am trying to view something that is in the same space as this it happens). But that is not always the case.

Very frustrating sometimes.

I think moving the inventory window around is because the size of the description window varies depending on the number of effects on the weapon or item.

The further to the left of the screen, the more often you get the description correctly.

I have this bug sometimes and it helps (for me) that i choose the item and then press 'z'. Though the hover-thing doesnt work, the examination window doestn go away.
