    Default Holy Repot Depot (Cleric12)

I'm currently playing a 10/2 cleric/rogue. My next two levels will be cleric. What I'm not sure of is what I'll do with my last six. Cleric is an option but I would rather not... in fact I've started a pure fvs to give me a full healer.

I was going to ask about splashes (rogue or ranger) but I'll probably save that for their respective forums. Instead what I would like to know is what can I expect to be able to do with just 12 levels of cleric? Can I heal a decent group in the vale, or am I just there to save the healer some sps? I'd like to be able to say I could heal about as well as a bard (and some of them can certainly fill the role if the internets can be believed at least a little.) Any ideas?

Might as well go 18/2 Cleric/Rog.
In case you didn't already notice, my posts that end with must NEVER EVER, under any circumstances, be taken seriously.

You could heal a good group in the Vale. I like to scroll heal myself while saving SP for offensive casting at that point. But if you are looking to go front line, scroll healing isn't really a great option since you have to stop meleeing to do it.

If you are in a good guild and have some good players/friends to run with, 12 levels of cleric should suffice for most of the Vale up to Hard. Elite may cause problems in certain quests where shrines are farther apart, unless they are self sufficient and are willing to let your aura top them off.

And just my 2 cents, but the Vale is where your offensive casting really starts to take off. You can run everything out there faster with more divine/arcane in group than melee. Really give it some thought before you take your cleric another route. (Unless you don't mind a LR/GR, then fiddle away. )
There is no lag. Just because you had none before and can't play now doesn't mean the server move had anything to do with it.

I already have a 18/2 wizard/rogue and I'm planning on courageously copying a wf fvs (20) that looks good so I'm less keen on another pure caster type.

I've actually though about eating a couple +5 hearts and going pure rogue. (Although at that point it would probably be better to just roll a completely new toon. Or get to 20 and tr. )

Rogue 2 / cleric 18 would certainly be the better caster. So the question is: what would you rather do than cast spells? Were you thinking of going for more of a melee focus?

Ya, I wouldn't do a bunch of lessers. I would just get him Shroud ready, then use him to farm materials for the other toons you actually like. Unless you are just short on character space, it never hurts to have an extra toon to farm those elusive large scales. And since clerics are always needed for the Shroud, I don't really see any downside to it. Just a few hours of questing than you can move on to bigger and better things.

It would be for a little more melee focus (a dwarf that can't use an axe feels wrong... although I can use Master's Touch scrolls to get around that) and for stealth. Honestly absolutely nothing with game value.

I think I'm starting to lean more and more towards just going 18/2. It still gives a lot of the flavor of a cleric that goes around, reclaiming lost relics and what not. Maybe not quite as well, since he'd be less able to sneak around and less able to put out some hurt, but not too far off. I just haven't really heard anyone suggest that doing anything but 18/2 (and even then there have been plenty of people that seemed unfavorable towards anything but pure 20) as being worthwhile.

If nothing else, biggin is right, it's another toon that can run Shroud and as a healer I shouldn't have any problems finding runs.
