    Default Credit Card Problems

    Getting the [err: 30005] on a card i have been using for many years.

    I have sent an email through to billing with no response after a week.

    I have retried to enter the card in several times over the week.

    I have also tried another card with no success.

    there's money on the card and the details are all correct.

    can you please fix my problem or at least contact me with the issue.

    Frost-Beard,

    I am sorry to hear you're having this problem. I also apologize, but we can't assist with account specific issues on the forums (as noted in this sticky).

    You may find some helpful information in this sticky.

    I can provide some general error information. The 30005 error now occurs if the address or card information is incorrect, or if the card company isn't verifying the address or card information (the most common issue with this is the security code or CVV/CVM) or if the card company is declining the card. If the authorization holds are going through, then it's not the them declining it. In your case, the most likely cause is a verification error.

    Email turn around is about 1.5-2 weeks right now. We are working to improve that, and they will respond as soon as they can.

    Well i spoke to my bank about it all and they said its an issue with the merchant.

    so now i have to ring you guys from overseas. tricky when your only open during the afternoon.

    i know its nothing wrong with me or what i am entering because nothing has changed at my end since the last time i resubscribed.

    i can understand mistakes and problems, but no response from anyone in 2 weeks via email (my only support line) is not good.

    Having a stack of about 10 authorization fees on my card, draining my money for nothing isn't very nice at all.

    anyways lets hope it gets sorted when i call.

    Just wanted to say you're not alone. I have the same problem mate - My issuer tells me its the merchant too.

    Ive been trying for nearly a week to go VIP and cant due to the "3005 error".

    I have the same problem too!!
    I tried many times to add my card to my billing information. And i always got the same error.
    Furthermore when i called my bank they said that my credid card has no problem, and that there was a 1euro billing from turbine for each time i tried to use the card!!!!!!!!
    Can someone from Turbine help us? I have sent 3 tickets but got no reply.
    I mean i just want to pay to play the game and i can not!!!

    Also two more things.]
    1)To my billing information there is an option for European countries.
    When i got o become a VIP member there is only option for USA , Canada , Mexico. Can't i become a VIP member if i am from Europe?
    2)Isn't there a way to become a VIP member by paying through payplal? Cause i only get the credit card option.

    I have a similar problem except with a different error code [err: 140003]. I live in Mexico and have tried with two credit cards one of them was unavaidable for international purchases but the one i'm currently using should have no problem at all. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be?

    Turbine,

    I'm sorry but you guys really need to get this problem fixed.

    I tried with 2 different visa cards and 2 mastercards.

    Heres the interesting thing. I can buy POINTS but I cannot renew my subscription using this same card????????

    Got a long time friend to come back tonight. Guess what? He's on a free account because he cannot renew his subscription.

    Talked to my bank. They saw absolutely no charges for those days trying to post from Turbine.

    I've been playing this game since Beta 2006, and have subscribed on and off over the years without incident. Suddenly I can't reactivate my subscription because you guys have decided to "upgrade" to some otherworldly verification system.

    I have entered 3 different cards & all the information is correct. (I contacted my bank to verify this is so) and I STILL can't upgrade an account that I have been using on and off for 4 years.

    This is unacceptable.

    I live in the US
    I live at the billing address listed on the card.
    I access the internet from that same location.

    There is no reason that this should not be working. Especially since you will let me buy turbine points with the card I added.
    Is this some kind of bad joke?

    I could understand if you guys upgraded your verification system for increased security. However I can't understand how you can reject a card for VIP access then let a person use that same card for a Turbine Points purchase. Which proves that this has nothing to do with security.

    Your clearly only making things inconvenient for people trying to get VIP Access while simultaneously promoting impulse buys for turbine points. (where you obviously make more money)

    I'm going to call tomorrow to see if I can get this sorted out, because I love this game. Just keep in mind, that for every person that writes one of these posts, there are probably 50 others that won't even bother and just walk away on the spot.

    How many customers are you willing to throw away for some convoluted & irrational security measures?

    How much money are you willing to lose?
