Kensai/tempest Paly splash

I've been toying with a new build in the planner - haven't finished it yet or I'd post here. Looking for advise or anyone who may have done something similar.

I'm currently thinking of 12Fighter / 6 ranger / 2 Paly

I'm open to suggestions - I've actually thought about dropping the ranger to 3 levels and going 12/3/5 etc....

thoughts? suggestions?

That combination is possible, but what exactly do you want out of this build? Right away I realize it's gonna suffer attribute deficiency (though not as bad as some builds): on top of STR & CON which every melee build needs, it also needs DEX 17 to get GTWF and it ought to have at least decent CHA or the pally splash is largely useless.

I'm lookign for more dps than anything - the evasion wont be part of the process.

Essentially looking to max out dps and work around to pre's possbily.

Attributes will be an issue as will AP's to get what is needed... that's part of my issue with the design.

Basically, I am looking to find a way to provide solid dps, decent AC and possibly good intim ... as well as being self sufficient.

May not be able to make this build work - but I've seen others with 12 ranger/ fighter etc...

IMHO, if you're trying to max your DPS, it's usually best to stay pure, especially if you're a fighter or paladin; both classes have pretty good DPS capstones. Multiclassing a ftr or pally is usually about adding versatility or survivability at the expense of DPS or other abilities.
