Relik, no need to apologize. I just find that most critical people of Legion usually do so from anonymity. Like they don't really believe or stand behind what they are saying. /shrug.

The only reason to blacklist a whole guild is if you don't know all of someone's alts - there are great people and bad apples in any guild. My solo guild even has great people and bad apples depending on if I have PMS or not.

Personally I dislike the general attitude I've perceived from a lot of people who are in Legion or who regularly play with Legioners. However, anyone willing to do their job in my raids is welcome. I'd prefer a minimum of "attitude" and the people who make raids more pleasant and fun and smooth while doing their part will get welcomed back anytime.

But when you are continually having issues with one particular guild or hear that other respected players/guilds are having the same issues with players of the same guild tag then there is absolutely no reason why an entire guild shouldn't be put on your "friends" list.

"Friending" on hearsay is bad practice - for yourself. You might really (like/enjoy/learn something from/et cetera) the experience with someone who your respected associates hate.

I never base my "friending" on hearsay but on my own experiences and those that I regularly run with. Would I "friend" a guild just because someone like yourself had an issue with them...no I wouldn't. If I have a run in with a particular player then I note it. If others have the same experience I note it. If I continue to have or see these continued issues then yeah I will "friend" an entire guild. I too clear my list regularly. I don't think I've ever had to re-add the same person to it.

My best in game friends are spread across a myriad of guilds and include a variety of play styles. That is why "best player" threads are just an excuse for people to enjoy some healthy.... umm... debate. [It's just debate Tarrant... no, really!]

There has been decidedly too little disagreement and drama for this to constitute a real debate. More like everyone letting loose their butterflies into a soft wind for others to gaze upon.

Well many choices & i know the best player exists.
But i really dont care who it is,.
I care for nice peops to party with / or to squelsh for being an ( Insert foul language ).
I game to have funn, not to compete being the most ûber player.

To avoid drama I didn't reall ALL of the last 11 pages but here are some of my votes for "Best":

Best at being a hard ass but totally getting BLEEP done: RoyBoy's toons all names Doc something.

Best at being a quite storm and totally getting BLEEP done: Ironforge's toons.. usually with the name Rune in it

Best Solo Shroud Healer: Ducatti... totally solo'ed healed while fighting the whole time. (Seen this on several occasions)

Guild members from these guilds I like to see in raids that help insure we will succeed (in no order) BoB, Madborn, Maelstorm, C.L.A.W. and Bane

Best at being a post F2P newb player with noob gimp builds and sub optimal loot but still getting the job done: Me and my toons.

i see this is still going ?. figured would see more names come up. eriick stop trying to get the best player in your category . the nice guy best team player . you got 1 solid toon that i know of . try diffrent toons . looesing regularly might shed a bit of light on why some players go bad .... All you players out there claiming that "i am hear for fun not to win " i get what you mean buy looseing is not fun . ppl tend to drop over and over again mid raid/quest , that makes it tough to keep a smile on .
in the end the ppl with the bad additudes are usealy the ppl who have the most experiance with the failed run/s due to some happy clown that wont listed cuz he has done said raid 20 x and he know more than you . thus makeing you bitter. so to me that whole nice guy thing gose right out the windo cuz .

the best player has to be a leader of some sort . put the group together . be abel to ajust to the the line up he has . view all opptions a wigh them out . have good knowleadge of builds, spells, wepons and pravitions used for the right cicumstance . . then relaying all that with a positive additude to his/her new team .

thats my ideal canidate a well rounded individual . cerciv got my vote . he has lead many raids and still remains calm / cool /colective .




i understand docsin verry well . i understand you probly more than any one on the server . i have squelched whole guilds based on one player . but if we keep squelching ppl we will have no one to play with .

i rember when i first started playing i was my self . a realy nice person . then i started leading raids cuz i wanted to put my toons on timer . then they made the shroud a joint effort ppl where runing off doing there own thing , verry pain full . thats when the hate began . i had to raise voice to get ppl in line or boot / refoum around ppl cuz you needed everyone on the team back then to be a player. thats where i got my bad boy rep . but i could fill a group in less than 5 min cus i didnt take no **** and success rate was high even with new players . ppl are here to win . majority rules . if ppl where here to have fun they would not cap for a verry long time .

so once again i chalange you eriick go build a clric /or caster see how you cange over time . i dare you to lead more pugs though raids . i beg you to not be a back seat observer . i am certin that over time you will change and be what you claim is not exceptabel . i am not basing you eriick ii still thing you are the jesus crist of this server . but i feel you point a finger at some with out knowing why they went sower .
i am not perffect in any way . one thing about me thou is i keep it real . if you hert my feelings and make me cry i will say it publicly . i am a big fan of the truth . thats all i got .

Thank you for the thoughts and the critique, but I haven't been that guy for a while, and based on my activities over the last year, I have no place on such a list at this time. I'm too distant from my fellow Thelanians for such a consideration. In other words, I believe that someone else is that best player with awesome skills and the sparkling personality to match - not me.

That aside, check out my new post on the Thelanis forum. With any luck, I hope to have a 2nd capable character some day.

You'll have to settle for some type of FS mutt thing that can also heal (some ). With any luck, Cleriik will see level 6 tonight. I'm not in a rush to 20, though. There's lots I have to learn along the way...
