Angry Client Chrashes Upon Entering Explorer Area.

Ok...this is really, really starting to **** me off.

Before, it was just trying to go into the Ruins of Gianthold and the Desert areas when my client would suddenly crash while trying to load into those areas. To a lesser extent, the Twilight Vale was the same way.

NOW...I could be out in the Gianthold Ruins doing slayers with guildies while waiting for more to show up for a quest and THEN it crashes after I've been out there for a bit.

I know that I am not the only one that hate Gianthold for that reason. Some people even crash while trying to zone into the public area. While in a raid party for Reaver's Fate, my client crashed while loading into the public area. Thankfully, at least half of the rest of the group has the same problem.

One player mentioned that he has heard a new verb mention most of the week that can sum up this issue: Turbine'd.
Example: "All my TWF builds are useless now. I've just been Turbine'd!"

What causes this? More specifically, only in certain areas?

I reinstalled my client to fix this issue.

There is a thread in here somewhere about updates may cause file fragmenting and if certain files fragment you end up with this condition.

    Anywhoz worked for me. GLHF

This has been going on since last year. Annoying as can be. So I know its not just an update issue.

I did take a look at known issues and its on there.

    Hi there folks,

Tools>options>advanced Graphics>Object Draw Distance is the setting you need to lower to prevent crashing when entering vast areas like the desert.

I'll give it shot when I log on in a few minutes. And for me, this issue goes farther back than a 'few updates' ago.

We noticed this in Europe Feb 2009 and I researched and found a US post by a player mentioning about the above fix.
