This is so true. And my Dad used to preach it to me. I didn't realize what he meant until I was older and in trouble for something a "friend" did. In RL and in the game those you hang with may hang you.

I'm semi-fortunate to be in a larger guild that cares. We have had a butt-head or two over the last few months and they have been kicked from the guild for their butt-headish behavior.

Anyone not in the guild or anyone that doesn't follow who is in what guild would have a bad taste in their mouth from being in former guildie XXX's group. I understand they would associate the other 100+ good people/characters in our guild with the goofballs' antics. Little do they know that the guild agrees and has since dismissed the jerk.

What I'm trying to say is:
Give guild-mates of a butthead a second chance. Bad apples take a little while to rot.

That's why I leave my guild name off of all my Forum interactions. When I say something that makes me sound like an ass, I don't want it to reflect on the rest of my guild mates.

Tried to join a TOD tonight on my bard, which was in the lfm that they needed one, sat there for a few mins then was denied and apparently it was just because of what guild I'm in.

Apparently ? How do you know, did you send a tell asking why ?

I'm sorry that happened to you. If I didn't like someone in particular I've managed to find out all of their Alts and have them on the list. If others are from that same guild I don't deny them because they didn't do anything to me. I've recently found out someone has been real sneaky about getting into groups with me, but not anymore after I did some asking around about this certain person

You do realise that they can create characters and place them 'Anonymous' so you can't trace that character back to their main account right? So what did you find out after 'asking around'? Lol.

How can you "ninja loot" something in this game if all the items in a chest are assigned to certain people? The only way someone can get your loot is if you passed it to them. My idea of ninja looting is that the loot is available to everyone and someone takes the item and then logs before the item is rolled on. Since items in this game aren't open to everyone then there can be no ninja looting.

epic quests have ninja looting. approx 1/100 chance of any kill dropping a scroll that either goes with a raid item from that chain or other rare item such as bloodstone. the scroll can be picked up by anyone. it does not show up in your window when picked up. it can be examined while on the ground. credible groups always roll for them. best to run epics with people you trust. most people do not ninja loot imo.
