Default Portable holes in the Turbine store

    Hi,

Can you please add portable holes into the store?
They can be earned in game, looted or bought from the AH (prices are way too high - over 100K PP is beyond silly) so adding it won't any significant impact.
I like trying all sorts of builds, but find I waste way too much time rearranging inventory so this would be a big help.

More money! Low drama! What's not to like

40kpp on Ghallanda was the cheapest I saw... way too high for something I can get for free as a favor reward from Gianthold questing. I only have 30kpp total!

Too bad earning that favor will take another 4 levels of cramped inventory and not being able to pick up more than 3 pieces of loot per quest, making it even less likely that I'll be able to scrape up money to buy a good weapon for Shroud.

Prices like these make me wonder if the items ever actually sell... vets usually have a ton of spares, new players don't have that kind of plat.
Please split the class forums into REAL subcategories this is a jumbled mess.

If you play on Argonessen send me a tell.

    To your suggestion: Not signed.

I play, with a 5month break since Sep2009 on Argonessen, and found around 20 Portable holes + those i got from favour rewards. And if you need nearly 4 Backpackspaces for Stuff to carry around on such a low level you maybe should go through your inventory and throw a lot of that away.

Wow, I wouldn't pay any more than 20-25k on Khyber.

They put everything else of that calibre on the DDO Store, so why not. They sell +1/+2 Bank tabs, why not the resource required for the 5th Inventory tab

Why not offer the ability to purchase the 5th Inventory tab and take out the whole favor middle man while you're at it ...

They sell, quickly, for 50k PP. If I saw one at 20-25k, I'd buy it to resell.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

I bought one on Ghallanda for 10k ... therefore, I won't pay more than that. That is probably why I have to find them myself now.

By the time you have enough favor to install the portable hole....

How can you not have enough cash?

And thats just from the regular 'junk' you find. Assuming you didn't find something worth puttin on the AH...

Part of me wants to say no, but I don't like loot in the store at all generally. Then again I have like 4 of them that I can't sell for ****, so they aren't that big of a deal.

who ever is sell them for 100k is a dork
there's one thing you never put in a trap if you're smart. If you value your continued existence. If you have any plans on seeing tomorrow then there's one thing you never, ever put in a trap.

Well, since you're asking... When my first character hit 150 CL favour, she was level 7 and had somewhere around 150,000 gold (that's 15kp for those of you who don't understand the 30 year gold standard in D&D). That's not much more than was needed to convert it.

My second character qualified again at level 7 (maybe late in 6) with not much more money. She's now level 14 and hasn't seen a portable hole at all, not even in somebody else's loot table.

The lowest I've ever seen one on the AH was over 200,000 gold. I don't care if I have more than enough gold to get one now, I refuse to bow to robbery like that. If all these vets have so many of them wasting space, how come everybody sells them for so much?

    MOAR EASY BUTTON PLEASE!

Seriously? No way. They drop everywhere and you get one for free from favor so what's the point.

If you need a portable hole, and you have bad luck finding them and are unwilling to pay AH prices (which can easily be rediculously too high one day, and reasonably priced the next), and your efforts at using the /trade channel to find someone willing to give you one, or sell you one for a decent price... go earn the GH favor to get it. You have a LOT of options without one in the TP store.

Many players have collected them, and give them away to people in need, or use them to trade with (for plat or items). This is an item that predates the store by several years... don't ask to remove all value from those portable holes people have collected -- placing them in the store would do exactly that, and it's a selfish request, given that there is plenty of opportunity in-game to get one in several different ways.

I might be tempted to buy one from the store. I've seen it drop for others, but never for myself.
Just unlucky I suppose. As it's 100% a convenience item, I don't see why too many people, who aren't against the 'store period' would object.

In my experience, people who have '50 - 100k' to just drop on a portable hole whenever they need one... probably already have it.
Remember the little people, if for no other reason than to better savor the squishy sound they make as you roll over them.
