Failed to initialize

Error message: THe application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006). Click OK to terminate the application.


I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times in less than 24 hours. Did a complete rollback to before the first attempt at installation. I also have listed all of the programs needed in my allowed access through my Firewall.

Now I have been reading over the forums for hours, and frankly going a little crosseyed, to attempt to find a solution before posting this.

I'm running Windows Vista, trying to install the Standard version. I have had it on my system before, then I reformatted and am now just getting around to putting it back on my system so I know my system is more than capable of handling the application (frankly at the recommended requirements any system purchased in the last two years that CAN'T handle it were not worth your money but whatever).

I need to know WHY it is not working. I have again tried everything I can think of so any help would be most appreciated.

Don't know how... but I fixed it and it is now installing updates.
