    Default shintao kensai 12m/6f/2r

    I was just kicking the idea around in my head of a monk paladin build but ditched paladin for fighter and the extra feats. Not sure how this looks so I would really appreciate feedback on it

    Hmmm..... the sweet spot for kensais are kensai 2 (for power surge +8str) and knesai 3 (for +1 crit range)
    Kensai 1 is a bit meh....

    12 monk/6 fighter is great. Consider 2 paladin instead of 2 rogue. It's essentially +3 to all saves with a +6 CHA item, and it gives you full unarmed BAB. It's a DPS and threat tanking beast: http://my.ddo.com/character/orien/titanticus

    I'm going the 12 monk to get the higher unarmed damage out of being monk as well as improved evasion and the out of combat heal. Since there aren't any GS wraps yet, I gotta go with what I can get. The +4 hit/dmg would be nice but how long does it last and how many do you get stock out of a lvl 12 fighter?

    Carpone: It's 2 ranger that I went with, the full BAB is definitely something that I'd like to get out of this as well as the paladin abilities, but I don't really want to have to retool it just yet, I'll have to see how I can work it out swapping the paladin for ranger. The stats are a little tight as it is so I'd only wind up with a +2 to saves but still nice to have.

    go 7 ftr 1 rogue instead for 5% more haste boost.

    Putting a feat into Dodge isn't much help unless you're using it to qualify for Ninja or Tempest.
    Getting Shintao is discouraged presently, because that specialty is very weak. But maybe you're guessing it will improve someday, which is likely.
    Putting advancement stats into Constitution is discouraged, but reasonable if it's to qualify for Earth strike.

    thanks angelus, I'm hoping they fix shintao with update 7. This char is a TR from my 20 light monk and with how slow I level, they'll fix shintao before I even get to it. I'll work on a different enhancement spec rather than con

    You can get 7 or 8(with kensai necklace) power surge boosts of +8 str at 12 lvl fighter (more with action boost enhancements) and they last 1 min each. And they are hit on a fast trigger (you don't loose one attack round activating it). So they last all through an epic dq or epic dragon or most other boss fights.
