    Default another hagglebard question

    So I'm building a hagglebard......

I looked over the spell list for bards to see how many of them would help with haggling. Unless I am mistaken the only useful spell will be Eagle Splendor. Is this correct or am I missing something?

Heroism as well. Doesn't really matter if you use GH instead

    Default focus chant and GH

The Eagle's SPlendor only gives a +4 to CHARisma skills, once you have the item that grants charisma of +4 or higher, then get rid of that spell. It is possible to pull a +6 charisma item that is race restricted for a level 9 i think. Good luck on finding that though.

So, then you want focusing chant +1 to haggle and Greater Heroism which I think is +2 to haggle.

After that you want another bard to sing you a song so you get another +2.

Check lesliewest_guitargod thread on Hagglebard - Mississippi Queen.

Well in that case good hope. But Im not breaking it down level by level. My hagglebard uses the two spells i mentioned, you want to use something different, fine with me.

human versatility can add another +5 also, and also charisma exception skills that can be put on dt and greensteel. If you max charisma on a human you can easily obtain 70 haggle without to much trouble.

Focusing Chant, Heroism, Greater Heroism and Good Hope all give bonuses to "skill checks". This translates directly to a bonus for the haggle skill? I thought skill checks are used as a die roll when performing some action that might fail?

Skill checks are anything that uses the skill. So, Focusing Chant, etc. add directly to your skill level (the skill shows higher on your character sheet while the effect is on you).
