Thrown Damage

Yes, I realize this is by no means optimal.

I am however interested about using the best set up to maximize the damage from thrown. Just for fun.

So how would you build it if you had to?

Race: Halfling or Dwarf?
Class: Fighter or Ranger?
Ability build: (Max Str yes?)
Feats: (need help here, like do Manyshot, Rapid Reload, and PA work with thrown damage?)
Enhancements: Kensai III, Racial boosts, Fighter or Ranger Capstone? etc..

Equipment?

AFAIK, the only feats which apply to thrown weapons are Brutal Throw, Quick Draw, Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot, Precise Shot, Imp Prec Shot, Shot on the Run, and WF / WS / Imp Crit Ranged. [PA is melee-only.] So right off the bat, a ranger is at a disadvantage, because two of their feats (Bow STR & Manyshot) go to waste.

STR boosts your dmg while DEX boosts your to-hit. You can take Brutal Throw so you use STR instead of DEX for to-hit. But if you dump-stat DEX, you can't take Imp Prec Shot, which reqs DEX 19.

Were I nutty enough to do a throwing specialist, I think I would go pure fighter Kensai with as many of the throwing feats as possible; any extra feats go towards melee. If you want IPS, I would go halfling with base DEX 17 who takes a +2 DEX tome; if not, I would go dwarf with max STR and Brutal Throw.

Alternatively, maybe a STR-based dwarf ranger 12 / ftr 6 / monk 2: use throwing axes for ranged and dwarven axes for melee. You get 13 feats: Toughness, Tempest I pre-reqs (Dodge / Mobility / SA), SotR, PBS, Quick Draw, Brutal Throw, Imp Crit Ranged & Slash, PA, WF & WS Ranged.
