Can Rogues Have Two Capstones?

I'm sorry if this question has been asked, but I was wondering if Rogues can take both Capstones at Lv 20. If so that's great, I'd love to incorporate both into my build. If not, any suggestions as to which Capstone to use? Seems like Deadly Shadow is loads better than Cheat Death, but I want to make sure.

Nope. They both come from the same selection header so only one is selectable. Eladrin confirmed this when I asked the same question a few days ago.

Deadly shadow is the only rogue capstone. Don't be fooled by the display bug which suggests you can also take cheat death.

Says it costs 2 action points to get the capstone for fighter alacrity, so if you dont have the points you end up as a level 20 fighter with no capstone huh?

Interesting question in the rogue forums... but yes, if you don't buy an enhancement you don't get the enhancement.

this thread is open and why make another one when i can have it answered here. Fighter cap is same as all cap including rogue cap. You have to pay for it or you end up uncapstoned level 20.

Terrible if you ask me. Staying pure is hard enough with all the benefit you get from splash classing certain classess and then you stay the course and are rewarded a capstone ability.....but you have to pay for it.

But don't forget at level 20 you get 5AP to spend... so it isn't that bad. When I was level 19 on my sorc I didn't spend anything so that I knew I'd have the Capstone, but then I hit 20th level and I had 9 to spend.

might not be alot to you but it is to me. Enhancement points get used up quickly and alot of prestige requirements say you need this and that and level 2 of this and 3 of that. So yes it is alot when you are trying to get the enhancements you want and being required to meet other enhancement requirements. Right now if you wanted to be stalwart fighter prestige you have to donate alot of Armor class boost enhancements and Item defense which sucks because it completely throws out the chance to use human versatility and get the same armor class boost plus other boosts. Ehnacements can be brutal and 2 points is alot.

When you make lvl 20 you get 4 points all at once. It you can not allocate 2 of them for the capstone then, well, I do not know what to tell you. When you get a character to 20, come back and let us know.

However i think the stalwart fighter prestige has a bigger disadvantage than other prestige classess if you are a human. See human gives human versatility but stalwart requires armor boost 2,3 so Human versatility is 100% useless as a human fighter wanting stalwart.

Aside from the skill boost(easy way to no fail heal scrolls), and attack boost(extra to hit in epics helps), yeah it's completely useless.

And if you think it's useless, how is this affecting your ability to buy the capstone?

I have to buy armor boost and item defense and alot of armor ehancements. You think your not sacrificing enhancments? By the time you get the last points there are still things you want and maybe 1-2 you need.
