    Default Idea for many shot

    Now I know that we have all have heard numerous ideas about changing many shot but hear me out.

    What if many shot was a single attack instead of a stance? Kind of like trip. You click many shot and you fire one shot with 2,3 or 4 arrows. Then you have a cool down before you can do it again. How long that cool down should be, I have no idea.

    What do you guys think?

    IMO, feats which should be on clickies should have tactical value, ie either disabling attacks (like sap, trip) or nukes (like the dark monk's ToD, and should probably be extended to slaying arrow shots).

    Multishot is more a flat DPS thing, so I don't really see the point in making it a clickie in constant need of refreshing - it would just be an extra button to press when the timer was up.

    I would save it for the casters.

    Manyshot delivering multiple arrows with a 6 second cooldown would make sense since it would bring it inline with PnP. The overall ranged combat issues, primarily rate of fire, need to be fixed first since the current overpowered Manyshot is the only thing that makes ranged combat close to viable in this game.

    Some toggle on/off abilities that could work in a balanced enviroment...

    1) While not firing you will load additional arrows into your bow. Your next shot will fire all of the loaded arrows at the same time. Base attack 6-10 = 2 arrows, 11-15 = 3 arrows, 16-20 = 4 arrows.

    2) You take additional time to load your bow between shots. You get a penalty to attack speed while delivering more arrows with each shot. Etc..

    Archery needs much more fix than a Manyshot fix, which is easy and not all that difficult.

    A. Fix the **** rate of fire bug...yes its a bug **** it. Melee gets 50% more attacks...actually might be more like 65% than range since I did the comparison to my lvl 20 Ranger w/ capstone which is ridiculous. You BAB determines your rate of attacks not you weapon choice.

    B. Make the 2nd, 3rd, 4th shot in manyshot not suspectable to crits, sneak attacks, crit procs, procs like
    Lightning Strike or Imbued Slaying Arrow ect ect that will tone down the DPS to compensate for the boost in dps to not be OP.

    C. Make Manyshot a toggle effect like Power Attack with a penalty to attack.

    D. Incoperate attacks of oppurtonity with ranged and spellcasting, this might be a bit difficult to incoperate.

    This is what will bring Archery in line with melee instead of trying to devise abilities to compensate and even things out. I mean seriously...how hard is it to follow DnD rule sets.

    Personally tired of being pigeonholed to do TWF melee...there is a lot of revamps that need to go around with the combat system and not this new quests **** which mostly get ignored really besides maybe some token grinding...at least to the non F2P players.
