Advice on character builds?

When your guildmate/friend comes to you for character build advice;
you give them the advice, but they disregard anything you've said and
do the complete opposite...what do you do if they come back and say
their build just isn't working?

Give them horrible advice, causing them to do the opposite and make a good build.
Such as tell them their sorcerer only needs 10 charisma, but strength is the stat of choice. Who doesn't want a sorcerer wielding a great club?

Tell the gimp to level though the hellish creation they made. Then they will have some experience and will have a better understanding of what they want. Then you won't have to give advice, since they will then know what they want and look it up.
