Hotkey for Chat?

Hi, folks.

Is there some hotkey or default setting to allow me to enter text in the chat panel without having to unlock the cursor from my character, mouse over the chat panel, click on the box, and then type in the text I wish to say?

The Enter Key.

Optionally, the / key. / will always default you to chat.
/p = Party
/g = Guild
/a = Advice
/t = Tell
/r = Reply, autocompletes name for tell

and so on.

Thank you, TDL. Apparently, I had a non-default key setup and so the Enter key would not take me to the text pane. I restored to default and there it was.

and u also have
"/trade" for the trade channel


In addition, "[" and "]" (square brackets) make you go back and forth in the chat channels.
