Put it simply, I don't know if you are of the U.S.A. or not, but the school system here is spoon feeding the kids instead of teaching them how to think. I'm not going to spoon feed new players further than what has been done. I want them to learn, to think, and stop assuming. I want them to open their mouth/hands, stop being afraid, and ask questions.

I want them to stop doing the standard un thinking, and start thinking.

Good game play and fun is based on expectations. What you expect the other person to know and do. It is hard to figure that out when you don't know their level of experience and game play. It creates disrespect and a lack of trust with customers.

That's right customers not players. You are better of calling players customers and your business model will last a long time.

Last night I couldn't fill our guilds planned teaching run of the Shroud so I made sure to put in the comment of the LFM Teaching players new to shroud or something like that. It got a couple new to shroud people to join and learn also.

This is probably what you should look for in LFMs or create your own group and place that you want to take quest slow or non zerg in the comment. That should lessen the issues you see with people flying through quests and not being able to learn them.

This is much easier to accomplish by actually communicating with your fellow players than by setting up yet another intermediary means for people to make even more assumptions than they already do. Turbine has done an excellent job of providing it's community with various means of passing real-time information along.

Account age is not an absolute indicator of anything other than how long the account existed.

There are Vets that created another account last week that could pwn me, you, and jesus at DDO knowledge regurgitation, metagaming, running quests quickly, and not dying.

Any tool that allows blanket inclusion or blanket exclusion goes against everything a social based forced cooperation MMORPG stands for.

People just need to stop being lazy and communicate, and use their own selective grouping tactics without having to rely on a game mechanic to be put in place to do every single thing for them. Don't take my comment the wrong way. Unfortunately you're suggesting changes to parts of the game in your threads so far that work well enough as they are. Your suggestions might sound logical to new(ish) players but those who've been playing a long time (myself included) know that what you're suggesting would either do nothing or cause more problems. Also the people who would need to implement your suggestions (devs and producers) have much more important things to be getting on with.

So by all means keep the suggestions coming in but be prepared for some frank, honest and probably pretty blunt answers. As long as you acknowledge the responses and are willing to accept "feedback" you should be fine.
