    Default Correct me if I'm wrong

    While min/maxing my current Warchanter I noticed something odd..

    So what's wrong then? We'll here's a second picture:

    Here's the thing. Improved Critical Feats doubls the critical threat range right? If so, then the Falchion should register as 16-20 (2x2=4) rather than 15-20 (2x2 not equal to 5), since its base critical threat range is 18-20, compared to the Greatsword which has a base critical threat range of 19-20 and registers properly at 17-20 (1x2=2).

    So my question is, where did I get the additional +1 critical threat range? o.O Did I misunderstood the Feat?

    Without Improved Critical: Slashing Weapons you have 15% chance of
    critical hits with a Falchion (18-20.), taking the feat upgrades to 30%. (15-20.)

    Without the feat, the Falchion criticals on an 18, 19, or 20. Three numbers.

    With the feat, add three more to double the range. 15, 16, 17.

    Also, even though this wasn't mentioned, the Force damage ritual would be better average damage than the Force Critical ritual.

    1d4 = 2.5 extra damage on a critical. 6 numbers that critical = 15 extra damage over 20 swings.

    1 damage per swing (missing on a 1) = 19 extra damage over 20 swings.

    Now if you don't hit on a 2-5, that could change the calcs, but with a +29 at level 15, you should be fine against trash mobs.

    well, no

    imp crit extends your crit range by the same amount as it already has, it might sound as doubeling, but isnt

    as already said: 18-20 means you crit on 3 numbers. 15-20 means you crit on 6 numbers. 3+3=6

    Oh. Went to reply, its already done. Yes, all three answers answers given were correct in their own ways. Your Crit range with a Falchion, if its Keen or you have the feat, will be 15-20/x2. Kensai III with all the enhancements can further bring this down to 14-20/x2.

    Thank you for asking this question. I hope their answers assist you.

    actually kensai is bugged, it might display as 14-20 but does crit on a 13 already...someone posted screenshots once proving that
