And it only took 341 minutes!

It will be a LONG time before I attempt that again!

It was on Casual Difficulty.
Obviously I had NO idea what I was doing.
I did all of it without a hireling until the last fight.
I decided I didn't want to do all that work and die at the end, so i brought in a pocket cleric to make sure I didn't die.
So ALMOST all of it was soloed.

Props to the OP - At least he stuck with it, without a guide. It's not an easy quest to solo if you don't know it.

so how did you get up top to pull the lever on the third furnace? Was that what you brought the hireling in for?
Move along , Nothing to see here
My question is how much time was spent in the room with the steam powered jumps? It is a bit of a pain timing those right, took me a while. Anyways, grats to you, I soloed this myself and know it can be a frustrating dungeon. I won't be back anytime soon

Man, I'm not too sure I would want to snort coke and do hookers for 341 minutes, much less spend that time solving the pit.
I did solve the Spies in the House quest the other day from the Sentinels pack I just bought, it took me 90 minutes. That was a little annoying but enough of a puzzle to be fun, even though I was running through it with a level 17 character.
don't know how he did it, but i have solod it before. there is a ledge you can jump to when you hit the 2nd lever and run back to the geyser. diffficult, but doable. i don't remember exact details but it is something like a ledge right near the ceiling.
and the reason i barely remember it is i solo'd it elite on a lvl 18-20ish toon (no big feat, i know. killing stuff was easy) and i NEVER set foot in there again... :-)
at least not until i TR again...
I remember the first time I soloed the pit...it was because everyone kept saying it was impossible to solo. That was the whole reason I made the youtube series demonstrating how to solo it (way before hirelings and what not).
No matter how much time passes, though, soloing the pit is a nice accomplishment, so congrats to you!
Here's the video breakdown of soloing the third furnace

I just had to log on to say congrats! That's quite a feat. I personally hate that place, high xp or no.
Good job!
I have to imagine that half of the time was spent in the third furnace room jumping on everything he could reach and swearing at the screen because "there's no freakin' way up there!!"
kudos for figuring a way to get that third furnace if indeed you didn't look it up.
