Shroud lag back bigger and better

Had terrible lag few days ago when I did shroud. Looked at the setting, and noticed that my connection speed(in troubleshooting) was set to 128k instead of automatic for some reason. Set it to automatic, and it fixed everything. Might check that if your having lag problems.

I never see lag dps.

What I do see, almost everytime, is a lag spike at the end of part 1 and part 4, when running to the chests.

DPS lag seems to be gone for me since the update, but there are always large spikes in this instance for me as well.

Ive seen massive lag in the Shroud more than once since the update. And this isnt crappy pc-induced lag either, because the entire group experienced it. Whether or not the OP is a troll is beside the point. Just because YOU havent seen lag does not mean it isnt a problem. There have been plenty of post-update shroud lag threads already.

Anyways, I cancelled my sub. That is the only effective way to complain about it.

I think sever population and time is a big deal .. my bad lag run was at 8:45-9:25pm EST on sarlona server ..

normally i get no lag at all ... even pre update 5 rarely saw a ton of lag though there where times when i was swinging away and no one else was .... i use high speed cable in a great community (where not to many people download and game so its not a bogged down network) with rogers cable.... I run a pretty decent computer 6 gigs DDR and about 200gigs of free space left on a 1 tera HD ... running ATI Radeon HD 3850
card .. and would have to actually be at my computer to know any other basics ... cause i didnt really care much so long as it could run my games when i bought it (last winter for 1400 sweet deal cause it was on sale)

so neither my network or computer is the issue ... others computers different story ... i would understand that.

I am on Khyber, if not the most populated, it is in the top 2 or 3. I was playing on a laptop, single core AMD Athlon, 4 gigs of ram, XP Pro, ATI video (the crappiest), wirelessly. I had another computer on the network doing a fresh install of vista and was downloading 99 updates, 99! I have ASDL 6 down, 785 up, 100 cat 5, 54g wireless internal network. I was playing during prime time. No lag. No deaths.

me too .... if it wasnt paid up till september and if i didnt think turbine might say something at the last second to make me second guess not paying again ... i wouldn't even play anymore ...

but as it is that i have paid and dont want to leave (even though it seems like the smartest plan to just leave and never look back) even though i canceled my sub ... and i wont be doing F2P or Premium Play ... when i leave a game i am gone ...

but sadly i think that canceling a sub and filling out the survey doesn't mean squat ... cause they are more interested in new players then old ones that are leaving ...

(hint final fantasy 14 september launch .... DC Universe november 2nd launch .... Star Wars old republic next spring ..... turbine has a bunch of competition coming up fast ... there stress levels over there must be super high ... cause they have some big names to worry about )

for you people who havent seen the lag its nice to hear that some dont have the lag. for those of us who have, just another day at the computer. i have seen the lag spikes at pts.1&4 going up to the chests. but its the old dps lag on pt 4 where you're fighting the boss and everything locks up for a couple of seconds then you appear in part 5 dead with the rest of your party.

lol not saying that the same issues dont effect different people differently ....

just saying it doesnt mean some people are not experiencing lag ...

but i do believe that stating server and time prolly means something ... cause higher populated servers might also be getting more bandwidth ...

its possible they tuned down sarlonas bandwidth ... its possible that everyone in my party cept sleepy and myself was running a commador 64

I dont think it was dps lag ... not alot of twf in my group that had lag issues ....

think it just might have been something small server side at a bad time or a slider issue that lead to other issues or server communication with clients wasnt optimal ...

there are lots of good and bad reasons it could have happened

just saying it happened to me too ... well me and 11 others running shroud last night .. .in fact i was so upset that i intentionally didnt run another raid that night .. even walked away from a TOD just to do some epics.
