Ah, Elemental Blasts. What is more satisfying than soaking your enemy with acid, setting them ablaze, freezing them solid, or electrocuting them? Not much. However, some creatures are healed by elemental damage, and your burst weapon becomes less useful, if not useless or even harmful to yourself. And not everyone can carry around half a dozen good weapons. Solution?
In pen and paper, the text for elemental blast weapons describe their effects becoming active when a command word is spoken. So, I propose that we go back to pen and paper and give the Elemental Blast features on/off switches. This could be assigned to the hotkey bar, and would take less time than equipping another weapon.
Does anyone have any disagreements, supportive arguments or neutral comments?
