    Default Dwarven Arcane Archer

    Good morning builders,
I was just going to post a request to build me a dwarven rogueish ranger arcane archer build, but I decided not to be lazy and give it a go first. I just came back to DDO after about 3 years away. I am starting over as the characters I had when I first beta'd and played were very bad.

So, I wanted a dwarf rogue/ranger because I had a lot of old gear with RR: Dwarf for some reason. Please let me know what you think I could do to make this better. If it is total fail, let me know why. I have thick skin and can take a lot of constructive criticism. Thank you again and here it is:
(P.S. I am researching enhancements now. Don't know enough to plan 20 levels of them right now.)

First off, bear in mind any build with decent UMD will be able to use race-restricted equipment (eventually), so that alone is not a good reason to pick a certain race, IMHO.

Second, if you're not an elf and want to be an AA, you should take at least 18 lvls of ranger, IMHO; otherwise, you won't be able to get your higher-lvl imbues, Slaying arrows being the most desirable (and highest-lvl, of course). And without those, why bother with AA?

So something like rogue 1 / ranger 18 / ftr (or monk or wizard or barb) 1 is a decent option, if you want an AA trapmonkey and don't mind sacrificing the ranger capstone.

I'm a newer player, but that Weapon Focus:Slashing seems to be... worthless? I don't know, +1 to attack to a slashing weapon, while in theory sounds good, is it necessary, especially at level 12 where your attack will be 3 (STR) + 12 (BAB)? At that point, a good bow should put you at 21? I can understand for the Ranged, since at low levels you would like to be able to hit as much as possible, but that also seems a little late at 3... This might be a bad idea, but switch the first Fighter and Ranger levels, unless you really need that Favored Enemy at level 2? I'm shooting from the hip here, and you can probably just disregard me, but those little things stuck out at me.

WF Slash is pretty much useless to this build; swap it for Power Attack. For FE, I recommend swapping Reptilian for Undead: since undead are immune to crits and SAs, you need the extra oomph against them more.
