Default Make accessories appear on character?

So, is it me (and my low graphics settings) or are armor and headgear the only things that show up on your character when you equip them? Where's my gloves, boots and necklace? Why aren't they appearing? I realise that armor and headgear are the two most prominent items you can see on your character but boots and gloves and necklaces (and the rest) are fashionable and noticeable too.

Also, let us customise our own gear. Changing their colour would be a good start.

It is all about 'the look'....

But we only get to see Helm/Armor...

While I do kinda like your idea, feel more like 'fluff' then anything else. Don't get me wrong, fluff can be a good thing from time to time.

However, rings are covered up by your Armor or Gloves and necklaces are covered up by your Armor as well. IMO, more work for art department for little benefit.

Honestly, would rather see Art Department to continue to blow me away with more of the great work they have been doing in the last few updates.

With that said, I do think visual Cloaks would add some flavor/fluff that most here would get behind...

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

Cloaks, Gloves and Boots are visible. I agree that Rings, Necklaces and 'jewellery' aren't however.

i would agree about the cloak, boots, and gloves and also change the goggles slot to a shoulder item and have that be visible as well. also put goggles in the trinket slot. the idea of every character wearing goggles unless your a trapmaker/disabler or some other sort of engineer type seems kind of silly to me

Blindness ward goggles or Visor of the Flashrender being on every character makes perfect sense.

thats why goggles would still be in the trinket slot, or just converted into some magical gem that does the same thing. seriously in your mind picture the image of a heroic knight or a powerful wizard, is that person wearing a giant pair of doc brown/amelia earheart goggles on their face? well.... maybe the wizard (for fun do a google image search of doc brown, i would post the first image that comes up if i knew how)

You know, I'd rather NOT everyone on the server look like they're going to the superhero convention.

I see this argument everytime this suggestion comes up. Two words for you: toggle option.

I agree there's better things for the devs to spend their time on right now, but any of these contentious suggestions (speech bubbles, visible clothing accessories) just require a toggle option so you can have them or not. Some of them would only affect the client (speech bubbles) and would therefore not be 'inflicted' on others, others would unfortunately have to be visible to others (clothing options - like /showhelmet for example).

But there are plenty of people who /showhelmet off, and I suspect the same would be true of the various clothing options too were they to be introduced. So yes, there'd be a proportion of cape n'visor superheroes amongst the player base, but by no means all. I can even see guild rules being drawn up in favour or against.

IMHO More variety is good, especially when its only cosmetic.
