Why would anyone need it? It might be marginally useful for a battle mage, but even then that probably wouldn't be the weapon of choice and putting frost burst on a crit 20 item is kind of weak.

he prob had more icy burst kits than he knew what to do with. I think i even managed to icy burst a toothpick over the winter festival cause i just didnt know what to do with the things.

*sigh* the only thing useful is the major ice lore that stacks with superior glaciation 9 for a minimum level 8 requirement. Its nice and useful for lowbies until you get a greenblade/skiver and potency weapons etc. Now please pay very close attention to the Thread title, I'll point out the key word: Vanity. There are currently no lvl 9 ice spells, whats the point of superior glaciation 9? Why would a castor be swinging his potent toothpick trying to crit an icy burst? All in all, this is supposed to be a collector's item that will have its uses, and more. Its a scepter you post in the guild channel when you are comparing your measuring sticks.

My stick is bigger than yours? lmao. But yeah these things cost a hell of a lot of motes to make i had more than enough to make one but when i saw how much motes where selling for i decided to sell my leftover motes after making the icy burst kits rather than make one of these, I think i did make a small stick level 4 superior glaciation on a 9% ice lore septer. ML 4 or 6 im not sure but to me that seemed more cost effective, cause you get potency? weapons later on like 50% to 6th level and lower spells ect for pretty cheap.

Ah ok, I thought I was missing something lol. And I know that looked like I was trolling above, but I really didn't get why that would be an item anyone would want, I was trying to figure it out...

A guildie of mine sold a similar scepter but only sup glacation 8 and the scepter was min lvl 10 or 12 with junk on it, for 2 million plat on the AH. I wasn't planning on selling my scepter until I heard of this sale, so I am testing the marketplace. If I don't get an interesting bite, this stick will still be very useful when the measuring sticks come out in guild chat

Depends on where you start from. From scratch...quite a lot, over 10000 IIRC. My Sup Glaciation 8 rod started as a Glaciation 6 something. I had held onto it form last spring. Took around 5000 motes from that starting point.

It takes just under 12k motes to make this piece of art, plus the time to sit there and hit the crunch button on the alter 45 times.

I'd suggest just the ingredient cost is equivalent to 3 large scales. Add to that the fact that it's likely a pretty unique item, and it's min lvl 8. Icy Burst is great for...umm...being able to say it's an icy burst too.

You have to subtract a small amount due to the fact that you'd have to actually interact with Jinx to get it, but other than that it's a pretty nice piece of work!
