Just Starting back again...

So i'm just starting back again. My buddy doesn't want me to play on the server i had unlocked 32pt builds so i'm going to be starting totally from scratch. it's also my understanding that a lot has changed since i've played. I'm coming in with no expectations or pre-disposition to any class. I'll have about 2 hours an evening to play throughout the week and then a few extra hours on weekends, I'd love to hear some suggested builds that will be effective and easy to start up.

The one thing I am sorta set on is not playing a healer- i earned my 32 pt builds with a cleric and as soon as groups started expecting me to pay for scrolls and wands to heal them it immediately began uninteresting. I doubt that this has changed much and because of this i'm not interested in healing.

Well I'll not post the actual builds, just a synopsis really...

Bard of nearly any stripe, self healing, full UMD, full haggle, for the most part not going to be relied upon for heals. Can go many directions with bards really. Reasonable character to start a server with. Usually does better with a group.

18/2 Wizard/Rogue Warforged
Can handle traps, has evasion, has spell casting, can self heal with repair spells. Very simplistic, very durable, very functional. And quite capable of farming loot with which to fund followup characters. Can be very solo capable.

My other favorite for kicking a server open requires 400 favor to get Drow or a 32 point build.

12/7/1 Fighter/Rogue/Barbarian (Kensei II, Mechanic I)
Kensei in picks late game, short sword/rapier early game as funds allow. Can fully handle traps, has evasion, has extremely high UMD, has excellent to okay damage output in melee, eventually adds INT to crossbow attack damage, has skill points enough to almost max haggle along with a few other skills. Barbarian level gives it a nice speed boost and access to another +1 with power attack. Somewhat solo capable, but extremely powerful with supporting characters giving it openings.
