    My thoughts on this build...

    I am thoroughly confused!

    Could you please make a statement of what your goals are? Because I am under the impression you didn't really make up your mind and just stacked all kinds of stuff that suited your mood. Sorry, this build doesn't make sense to me at all.

    To give a few examples:
    - you picked halfling but none of the sneak attack enhancments?
    - you max out Int as a non-wizard and a non-acrobat?
    - you pick up combat expertise but don't take advantage of Monk Wis-based AC?
    - you get Ninja which lets you use shortswords as monk weapons, but take imp crit: bludgeoning? You don't even get useful damage dice from unarmed combat....

    If anybody is supposed to help you. maybe first make up your mind and tell us what, you think, your character is supposed to accomplish?

    well.. its just an idea... a concept... that's why I posted.. to read your opinions on this concept.

    The general idea is a max steath trapmaster.... like the name implies... a saboteour.

    So i disregarded most dps for the spy-like skills. But you're probably right about the imp. crit...
    maxing int (not actually... just 4 from lvs) gives me another +2 to traps... dunno if its worth it...

    Its just something i thought up as a concept... more for the fun of it than for its playability...

    Goal is simple... be unseen, do every trap, and have decent ac... (ok... a glorified trapmonkey)...

    but like i said... its just a concept

    You might want to look up the meaning of 'concept' then. I don't see a concept here, just a list of funny numbers. Sorry if this seems harsh, but as I said, I don't even know where to begin for the dozens of glaring mistakes and contradictory elements this build contains.

    Give us a clear message. And I mean actual words, not a generated list of feats and skills. The thing you put into the character genrator has non concept at all, so there's nothing to discuss until you tell us what to discuss.

    Have you considered 13 Monk/7 Rogue instead? Taking Ninja Spy II nets you 3d6 SA dmg extra (for a total of 7d6 SA dmg, what you would get with 14 rogue anyway) and use of shortswords plus IC: shortswords so you can remain in stance. Can still SA unarmed as well, but will be able to use SS's for crit procs such as puncturing, enfeebling, banishing, smiting, etc. at 17-20 crit range instead of the usual 19-20 unarmed (with IC: blunt). Use unarmed to stun your target then go to town with auto crits and SA's...you will have a full ki bar in no time!

    You can still max your trap skills and concentration, get access to Touch of Death and have +3/-2 from stances. If you take unbalancing strike and get a decent Wis mod, you will be able to render targets prone to SA's whenever you want.

    I know this is the Rogue thread, but its something to think about.

    that's a much better idea then the one in the original post and i'm currently leveling a toon with that exact build. at 20 Maedb will be 12 monk ninja spy II / 7 rog with assassin I, and 1 level of fighter for the free feat and fighter toughness enhancement. Like the OP it's a halfling but unlike the OP I'm taking the full like of flanking and sneak attack damage enhancements from halfling. the build primarily uses unarmed attacks but can switch to shortswords as needed. She'll do everything the OP was hoping for but unlike this build she'll do very solid damage against both sneak-attackable and 100% fort mobs. stats are dex, con, str, & int in that order. level-ups go into dex.

    word of advice to the original poster - take some time to read these forums and understand the class, it will help you a lot. Rogues in DDO are a melee class and if you can't melee the party would be better off taking someone who can. sneaking doesn't kill monsters. your stat allocation is all wrong because you're trying to do the wrong things. I would recomend you read it because I've already answered your questions there. not trying to be mean at all, just hoping to steer you to a useful resource.

    I'm glad the Rog guide was helpful, I've spent a fair bit of time on it and it's good to get positive feedback.

    Your new build is very similar to what I came up with for my ninja/assassin. The main difference is I started with 14 intelligence & 12 wisdom and put the points that freed up into strength. your base damage numbers all depend on strength so starting with 10 will leave you reliant on your sneak attack damage to kill anything. and since half the fun of the build is that barehanded attacks have big attack dice and let you fight 100% mobs and still do decent damage that's a bad thing, you've inadvertently nerfed one of your biggest bonuses from your hybrid.

    I'm enjoying the build tremendously so far, hope you do too!

    I agree, you'll need more strength, and not just for your damage output. I have a halfling pure monk who started at 13 Str and even with a +5 Str item still get overloaded way too often to be comfortable. Remember that to be centered you need to be at light load, which is about 1/3 of your maximum carrying capacity, and asa a halfling, your carrying capacity will be 3/4th of a human's! At the low levels a simple ray of enfeeblement (no save!) will effectively disable your monk abilities. At higher levels, you can forget about pulling all the heavy stuff from chests, because their sheer weight will make you uncentered.

    Also, with your high Dex, you can afford Power Attack and still hit reliably for considerably bigger numbers. Not needed for stuff you can sneak attack, but when you need to overcome high damage reduction (e. g. large elementals) then you need every bit of extra damage you can squeeze out.

    So I'd advise you to go with at least 12 Str and eat a +1 tome to be able to pick up Power Attack, or start with 13 right away. Int is likely the best stat to take these points from, so you'll have to reduce some of your skills, maybe only half ranks on balance and a bit less on sneak skills. From the feats section, I'd suggest to swap Dodge for Power Attack - the +1 AC might be useful at low levels, but certainly not beyond level 10. Another option would be to drop Skill Focus: Disable, but I'd say this feat makes more sense for what you want to accomplish than Dodge.

    Everything else looks fine, very solid build as far as I see it.
