Can I salvage this rogue?

Is it worth saving? I rolled this rogue a long time ago, didn't really know what I was doing, and I've been debating whether or not to reroll.

At level 9, Drow elf:

STR 15
DEX 20 (17base + 3 feat)
CON 13
INT 16
WIS 8
CHA 10

Feats so far:
Weapon Finesse
TWF
ITWF
OTWF

Given these stats, if I were to continue with this character, what's an ideal build?

yes it is completely fine you will have to wait for +3 tomes to even out some of those stats but you will be fine a little Uber High on that Int, but that can be ok I guess. These cant be base stats even w/enhancment/lvlup what are your base stats. include tomes used.

How long does it take you, OP, to level a character to level 9? I'd factor that into the answer.

That was the character standing naked, I took them from the character sheet. No inherant bonus, so I don't think I ate any tomes. Just level up into DEX I guess.

There is a lot you can do with that one. Assassin sounds like a great build if you want to go pure rogue. If so, focus on rapiers or khop's and stay with the 2WF line. Crit Strike, Improved evasion and toughness and GTW need to be on your list. With a 13 con, you need Toughness as soon as you can get it. You should also, have a max Con item, Max False Life and and Max Fortification item on.


Depending on your alignment, you could also consider blending in 6 levels of fighter for Kensai to help with your attack, or 6 levels of barbarian if you want to get a little crazy and work towards Frenzy. If you want to be clikie intense, you could go 6 Paladin for a very intense and versatile toon (focus on intimidate and defense then and get Combat expertise). You could also take 6 levels of ranger for tempest I and ranger boosts....

More food for thought... with your dex, I would go finesse and stick with rapiers for about a +6 added to your "to Hit" at higher levels, but Khops will get you more damage (if you hit).

I would also take 1 level of monk if you are the right alignment for the AC boost. Your wis is low, but with a +2 tome and a +6 wis item, will get you +3 more to Ac and another feat.

You could also consider acrobat for the immuunities and speed...

I seem to type this a lot.... I need to make it so I dont have to keep typing it. You can do a lot with that build. Its a good start. Rogues are one of the funnest classes to play if you ask me. If you blend them in with the right other classes they can be phenominal.

Seriously though, it looks fine. I might have done some of the stats a little differently(Less Int, a few more points in Charisma for UMD, etc), but that's just a personal preference. I'd definitely try to fit Toughness into your build, perhaps swapping out OTWF for now. Your going to start hurting for HP in the next few levels, and that will help out.

I'd say he's playable. Neither your str nor your dex are super high. Your +hit will be better if you stick with finesse but with 15str you kindof have the option of trading finesse for something else (toughness wouldn't be too bad from the builds I've read or power attack if you feel you don't do enough damage) and putting points in str. You need the 17 base dex for GTWF anyway. Toughness as a feat by itself only gives the +3 hp and +1 per level but it opens up racial toughness enhancements that give you a bit more hps, also.

Probably better off staying finesse, though, with your already high dex. You can get power attack to make up for lost dmg from str (and since your dex will be so much higher than your str could be it almost evens out).
