    Default Size penalty to trip?

Halflings. Love em or use em as ammunition, but they do get a nice deal in DDO.

Namely the lack of movement/weapon restrictions.

I understand that size mechanics have been implemented for Intimidate checks.

Is this also the case for trip checks?

I rolled up a Halfling Fighter/Monk to test it out last night and so far I have not noticed any penalty, however there is no dice report in the combat log.

    I don't think so.
Though those small buggers are often hard to trip.

I think they should get a bonus to trip checks. My reasoning? You ever have a kid wrap themselves around your leg while pleading for something the desperately need? There ya go!
On Argo I play: Allandra Lvl 17 Rogue, and a few others.

Sorry to bump my own thread, but my Halfling was tripping Giants with a surprisingly decent success rate last night. Standard DC was around 20-21 (Permadeath character, no gear yet). If size penalties are applicable that would be a -8 penalty on each DC against a Large critter like a Hill Giant.

For whatever reason a player controlled halfling does not incur an extra -4 size penalty to tripping a foe. At a DC 12 Trip a halfling was capable of knocking me down as a warforged on a total strength check of 10. If the penalty was properly applied then I wouldn't have been knocked down, as a being of a larger size it would have been considered DC 8 to me.
