    Default Favored Soul 16 / Monk 2 / Paladin 2

    A lot of this build is based on Valiance's Solo focused cleric. I'm just trying to come up with a build that is even harder to kill without losing the high DC blade barrier. I love her build, but cant resist making changes. This time I made so many changes it's a different build entirely. oops.

    To compare this to her build is easy... This build gives up "minor" things like:
    all sneaking
    all trap skills
    all UMD
    some melee
    access to the complete cleric spell list

    In return it gains:
    Even higher High AC & Saves
    More spell power
    More HP

    In some ways this build requires less gear... but only because it's not even trying to do traps, sneaking, or umd.

    Stats (before gear):
    Str - 11 => 13
    Dex - 15 => 19
    Con - 10 => 12
    Int - 8 => 10
    Wis - 18 => 27
    Cha - 12 => 17

    +2 to all tome ate at level 7

    Skills:
    Concentration - 23
    Balance - 12

    Your saves will be fine without the two paladin levels. FvS and Monk get the highest saves, overall. Take two more levels of FvS instead.

    Agreed, though this is a solo-build you may one day want to heal raids and mass-heal makes it SO much easier.

    countesscrow has a build with a similar class split, although hers is STR-based and uses longswords (courtesy of WSS). It's also a 34-pt TR build, but should be easy enough to adapt to 32-pt build. I'm not convinced Divine Grace is worth giving up lvl 9 spells for, but take a look and see what you think.

    I've made a lot of changes to my original plan. It's became an entirely different build again. (I may try both) The idea is that this build is a stepping stone into Valiance's build after I have better gear...

    Swapping the thief level for a wizard level opens up both cleric and wizard wands. This doesn't help with scrolls, but does make keeping shield and other level 1 wizard buffs free (other than mp). Adding in the wizard bonus feat lets me pick up empowered healing for Radiant Servant and greatly increases my healing power.
