    Default Best 'non-raid' rogue gear?

Trying to get my rogue 'raid ready' and was wondering what is considered 'must have' gear for rogues?

Mostly wondering what non-raid, non crafted gear/weapons are considered 'best' for upcoming rogues? Already doing the grinds for Minos legends and dragonhide armor. (my luck on the taps/scale drops is abysmal!). Ground out a bloodstone and dusk heart.

I have some odd playing hours, so grinding for ingredients takes me longer than most. Trying to figure out what I need to be productive till I can get the grinds done.

    Thanks!

Get a pair of weapons that beat the damage resistance of pit fiends and horned devils since those are the bosses of shroud, vision of destruction, and tower of despair. That means metalline/pure good or anything else that does good+silver damage. Greater evil outsider bane or greater lawful outsider bane is also fine on normal since their DR is 15 and the greater bane part does 15.5 damage on average.

I personally keep a pair of greater elemental banes on my rogue since I can't sneak attack them and they're rather prevalent.

2 vorpals is very important as well since in many raids the trash mobs have so many hit points that its faster to use vorpals. If you have Assassin II it doesn't matter how accurate you are because you get such a high bonus to confirm so its not important to specifically find a +4 or +5 vorpal.

Guess I'm closer than I thought, still trying to find +6 stat items for the right slots, have dual vorpals, and holy/pg weapons, no metalline or silver ones yet, but still looking.

Still have dual paralyzers, banishers, and disrupters. Are they useful at all in higher lvl content? Would like to 'thin out' the number of weapon sets I carry around if possible.

This is my highest lvl toon, so finding gear is very slow. Can't just buy what I need, have to grind it out. Takes time, but I'm getting there I think.

+6 isn't necessary unless it will bring your stat to an even number, +5 might be enough in that case.

I would ditch the paralyzers and banishers. Disruptors... I personally prefer greater undead bane blunt weapons but ymmv

Still use the paralyzers and banishers occasionally when farming lower lvl quests or doing favor runs, but haven't found them very useful in many quests at lvl. Prob just toss them in the bank, clear up some inventory space.

Seems I keep finding +5 & +6 items for the same slots, just my luck as usual. I'll keep at it till I find what I need for slots I need them for.

Finding metalline/silver holy/pg weapons is probably going to be the toughest things...

If you go pure rogue and go assassin you dont have to worry about vorpals, Bloodstone ups your DPS, Scourge Choker ups your DPS if played right (you have to take hits), Boots of the Innocent gives you some run speed and ups your saves, Minos Legens or Muffled Vaneer for 20 taps are good choices, blindess ward goggles of max spot is good, Icy Raiment is not difficult to get if you See Subteranean runs going.

If you can run epic or IQ there are some nice non-raid items there as well.

    Weapon wise...

Shocking Burst of PG is nice. Metaline OR Silver weapon of PG or holy (if silver), smiting rapier, distruptor, and maybe banishers and paralyzers.

Para+banish+vale(shav side)= dead mobs so some higher lvl content is still viable.

Going to throw in my 2cp here - divine power and heroism clickies are pretty nice.

Before the flames begin, I know it's not a weapon, but the extra HP and BAB are nice to have, and Heroism is great for when you NEED to find something, or NEED to make sure you don't blow up a box.

Maybe bank em but they are awesome in the vale and some of the vale quests.
    In game ===> Toxn / Tayz / Teslah / Sisy / Sleastak

For twf you can use imp cursespewing to go with your banishers and paralyzers. Saves 3 slots when you also have smiters.

    My 2cp:

I agree. And couldn´t stress enough the importance of Greater False Life and Heavy Fort. Better yet, Minos is a must have for us rogues. One of those and GFL nets you 50 HP.

As for weapons I think rogues should have many sets: banishing, smiting, undead bane (or disruptors) are a must have. Altough disruptors are very, very nice when you´ll get them, but as soon as you engage higher level undead, particularly not-mindless ones their saves seems to skyrocket. Many pesky elementals can´t be banished, so a pair of Greater Elemental Bane are good to have too. When I hadn´t the cash to buy them I used elemental damage weapons for the elementals...

For the main set I like rapiers with holy burst and/or puncturing preferably both on the same weapon. Higher seeker values are desirable also.

Until level 13 or 15 (not shure when) I had a seker/puncturing rapier and a paralyzing short sword, but IMO, on higher levels the paralyzing 17 dc is not worth the effort anymore.
