ML 20 weapons?

Most of the weapons, armor, etc. that drops in quests has a minimum level a few levels below the quest level. I don't know of any quests that have a quest level higher than 20, so where do ML20 weapons come from?

Have any of you pulled an ML 20 weapon and was it anything better than generic vendor trash? I dream of pulling a Holy Burst Silver Khopesh of Greater Evil Outsider Bane, but I don't think that will happen any time this decade...

I've seen ML19 weapons at least.
They tend to drop from Shavarath during +loot bonus days, particularly if you're running on higher difficulties and with a +loot gem of your own running.
Of course, they can still be absolute junk as far as then enchantment combos.

I'm pretty sure the only way u will see ML 20 stuff is if you do Amarath Quests on elite with a loot gem or u would have to wait for another one of those bonus loot deals they had a while back.

I would think epic should drop ML 20 items with no loot gems or bonuses as they are level 25 quest.

In general......for weapons and armor anyways...subtract three from the level of the quest you are in to determine what the general ML of items will be u get from chests.

Epic items are ML 20. Best example is Epic Sword of Shadows.

I looted a lvl 20 weapon. +? paralyzing greatclub of stunning +8. Pulled it from Epic DQ loot runs.

When we got a bonus to loot level for the really long downtime a bit ago I pulled a min level 19 blindness immunity +15 spot goggles which is p. nice actually. I think it was in shavarath

Back when the level cap was 12 I pulled a Ml 14 heavy mace, so I guess the possibility is out there to pull weapons above level 20. And that was before the day of loot gems.
