why redownload??

I have the game installed and been playing forever and now it's telling me the full game is available for download and won't launch. what gives?

It sounds like Turbine Download Manager is not showing that the game is already installed. Try exiting Turbine Download Manager (right click the white "Turbine" icon near your system clock and press exit) and then uninstall Turbine Download Manager via the "Add/Remove Programs" (XP) or "Uninstall a Program" (Vista/7) option in the Windows Control panel. After you have uninstalled Turbine Download Manager try launching the game again. If you do not have a shortcut for the game you can make one by opening the game installation directory ("C:\Program Files\Turbine\Dungeons and Dragons Online" by default), right-clicking the "TurbineInvoker.exe" file, and selecting "Send To>Desktop (Create Shortcut)."
