Look your a founder so it's not like you wouldn't know this but wouldn't it be better to say "looking to buy a bloodstone" and see what people are asking for it?

900k plat is a bit high even on Argo unless for some reason they have become premium again.

I'm just saying you could be costing yourself more plat than needed.

    Anyway good luck.

Cannith has had rare item farming for less than a year being new server. Plat is has out paced the accrual of rare drops and makes Cannith one of the most chaotic and expensive servers to acquire items. Also makes highly geared non raid equipment toons a scarce commodity.

900 seems about right to really get an interested party to sell.

Not disagreeing with you directly, but scroll thru the cannith trade forums and you will see it riddled with one post no response proposals other servers would be all over.

Varr's correct. I almost pulled the trigger on a bloodstone on the AH for 1.2 mil, but decided to go the "cheap" route and post here. Money we have, items are scarce.

I've got one that might have a few ticks of damage - let me know if you are interested.

Specifically, 49 Durability and 19 Hardness.

So let me get this straight.

Plat is abundant on a NEWER server but rare items are not. (I actually get that but it leads to my next point).

So if plat is so abundant on a newer server and apparently easy to spend and recover then why is it when I post a plat trade for Orien to Argo 1 to 1 I'm crazy?

    I'm being totally serious.

I know how easy plat is to acquire yet I get the argument the Orien is too new for someone to give up 1mil plat for 1mil plat on Argo.

Who would want to go to agro?

Heheh just kidding; both hold true.

Depth of wealth on older servers is greater than on newer servers, ESP the newest server. Example..... You and a central African young man are going to trade countries to live in. Both of you beg $1000 from your family to give to the other when you get off the boat in your new home country. Most would say the amercan is getting the much better deal.....more buying power for no specialty items, and crippled his family far less in procuring funds.

Now keeping with this example......for rare items, let's say you and your transposed African friend are farming for hot 21 year old smart white girls. Even with greater buying power for midline stuff, you in Africa will be much harder pressed to trade for one. Due to a smaller pool of items, you will even haveto pay more for what you want.

Bit of a stretch on the analogy, but works for me.

It's possible that they just didn't want to offend you by insulting your home server

Seriously, though, we have 2 situations here.

    1. Comparing the value of plat to named items on the same server.
    2. Comparing the value of plat on one server to the value of plat on a different server.

Also, people who have multiple capped toons on a new server will value plat differently than someone who's leveling their first.

As much as I'm interested in the loot run you describe, I've gotta say that I don't think you picked a very wise analogy

Varr's analogy in this thread is Win.

On topic... having pulled a Bloodstone yesterday... 900k plat doesn't interest me.
