    Default Dps Layout for Monks

    *Reserved* Regular Hits & Crits ~ Having to redo the calculations, got my VIP back, checked cool-downs, and it seems all ki strikes are 4 seconds, stunning fist is 6, stunning blow is 15.. blah!

    Keep in mind, that while I did list all strikes, these figures are for a level 20 Monk.
    However I did include DPS figures for all Stances, at tier IV.

    This will be a tricky calculation, because not every toon will have every buff, so you might have to do your own calculation in regards to what you run with on your monk. Strength Bonuses, ect

    The goal of this is so that you can insert YOUR numbers into the math, pull out your calculator, add it all up, and know what YOUR DPS is.

    We'll see if I can succeed at that.

    I'm currently trying to make sure I have the correct figures before I flesh out how many attacks per min a Monk gets, how many crit, how many blah blah blah..

    Until I get the actual amount of APM, I cannot calculate how much DPS a monk puts out. So this section will be a work in progress for a bit

    *Reserved* Path Strikes
    APM = Attacks Per Minute

    Fists of Darkness ~ Only Damages the Living ~
    Cooldown: 3 seconds
    You can activate this ability to channel negative energy into your attack, dealing 2 to 20 additional damage against living creatures. On a vorpal strike (natural 20 followed by critical confirmation), you deal an additional 1 to 50 negative energy damage. D&D Dice: Activate this ability to deal 2d10 (Avg 11) additional damage to living creatures plus another 1d50 (Avg 25.5) damage on vorpal.

    Taking this information, we can figure out the Damage Per Second that Fists of Darkness will add to your over-all numbers.

    3 Second Cool Down = 20 APM - 5% Miss chance (rolling a 1) = 19 Main-Hand APM that connect.
    20 Base APM * 5% Vorpal Hits = 1 APM that roll and confirm a 20, leading to an extra 25.5 avg damage.
    19 Main-Hand Connecting APM * 80% Off-Hand Proc = 15.2 Off-Hand APM that connect.
    19 Main-Hand Connecting APM * 10% Double-Strike = 1.9 Double-Main Hand Connecting APM.
    1.9 Double Main-Hand Connecting APM * 80% Off-Hand Proc = 1.52 Double Off-Hand Proc.

    So, if you keep Fists of Darkness on timer, for a full minute, you should see...
    19.00 Main-Hand hits.
    15.20 Off-Hand Hits.
    01.90 Double Strikes.
    01.52 Off-Hand Double Strikes.

    3.8 Main-Hand Connecting APM * 80% Off-Hand Proc = 3.04 Off-Hand APM that connect.
    3.8 Main-Hand Connecting APM * 10% Double-Strike = .38 Double-Main Hand Connecting APM.
    .38 Double Main-Hand Connecting APM * 80% Off-Hand Proc = .304 Double Off-Hand Proc.

    When you spam this per minute you get...
    3.80 Main-Hand * 500 / 60 = 31.66
    3.04 Off-Hand * 500 / 60 = 25.33
    0.38 Double Strike Main-Hand * 500 / 60 = 3.16
    0.30 Double Strike Off-Hand * 500 / 60 = 2.50

    People should keep silence about monk dps and uberness.
    Just shout it out: monk needs love. we are lacking dps etc.

    I'd love to see monk becomes a demigod some day.
