Am I the only one who is bothered by the fact that "Flaming" weapons are no longer flaming?


Call me old-fashioned, but I want flames on my "flaming" weapons.


Now....Embers do not flame...they just kinda glow. Always thought it was wrong when they had flames.


Don't have much of an opinion about frost and acid...etc.

But when I see the word "flaming"....well...I expect there to be some flames.

Is that so wrong?

I actually wish it was the other way around, with the effects being inside the area of the blade only. It looks cooler when you can see the actual blade of the weapon and the effect kind of moving around inside it.

I hate the new effects on weapons... There was no need to change them.... They suck... That is all

...but a bit more on topic - if the toning down of 'lower' tier fire weapons is helping reduce lag, I'm all for it. And truth be told, I kinda like the difference between them.

Lag's becoming quite a justification these days. The only lag this would fix is lag from having crappy graphics board in your PC.

I remember when axomatic became marshmellowmatic. Didn't like that then either.

I agree... the new weapon effects are very underwhelming, and need to be changed back. Or at least allow us a toggle so that we can see the particle effects on our comp - if we want to. Because right now, most weapons just look fairly bad.


And while we're at it - but back the big-red-dot-ring to Anarchic Burst! One of the coolest effects ever... dead before it's time.
